Take a 12-minute air trip on "Gozaisho Ropeway" where a large panorama spreads!

The Gozaisho Ropeway connects Mie Prefecture's Yunoyama Onsen and Mt. Gozaisho (1,212m) in the Suzuka Mountains. Although it is conveniently located about an hour by train from Nagoya, there are probably many people who have never been there.

As a matter of fact, we also rode the Gozaisho Ropeway for the first time. This time, we will introduce how to enjoy the Gozaisho Ropeway, which is perfect for weekend outings.

About 1 hour by train from Nagoya! Excellent access

Gozaisho Ropeway

Gozaisho Ropeway can be reached in about an hour by train or car from Nagoya. This time, we will depart from Kintetsu Nagoya Station by train!

If you are going by car, please be aware that even if there is no ice or snow, you will need to prepare winter tires and chains during the winter season (December to March).

The train ride took 1 hour and 10 minutes. In no time at all, we arrived at the nearest station, Yunoyama Onsen Station on the Kintetsu Yunoyama Line!

We recommend taking a taxi or bus from here to the Gozaisho Ropeway. This time we decided to go by taxi.

We arrived at the Gozaisho Ropeway platform in about 10 minutes. First, take a commemorative photo in front of the ropeway.

Let's eat Yunoyama Onsen specialty "Oishiyaki"!

Gozaisho Ropeway

When we were heading to the ticket office to buy tickets, we saw the word “Oishiyaki”, a specialty of Yunoyama! If it's a specialty, you have to eat it.

We decided to buy one and give it a try.

Oishiyaki 150 yen

Amazing! It is so much bigger than we thought it would be. "If the three of you are going to eat it right now, one piece should be enough! I'll cut it for you so you can eat it more easily." The owner was so kind.

Oishiyaki is made by kneading ingredients like sesame, sansho (Japanese pepper), and mizuame (sweetened water syrup) into flour with hot spring water, and carefully baking each piece.

There are two ways to bake the Oishiyaki, soft and hard, but this time we  had the freshly grilled, soft Oishiyaki.

He cut it and put it in a plastic bag so that it was easy to eat . The simple taste is irresistible. You can't see it because it's been cut in pieces, but actually, the picture of the ropeway is on it.

There seems to be no end to orders from all over the country, and it is a specialty that you should definitely try when you visit Yunoyama. It was so delicious!

Now that we're happy, it's time to go to the ticket booth ....... But then we found a face frame panel! We just can't help but put our faces in the panel.

Sorry for every time.

Curious about ticket prices?

We finally managed to get a ticket. You will be asked to show your ticket when you return, so be sure not to lose it.
