Table of Contents
A Food Experience that can only be Found in Inuyama!
Restaurant "Indigo Home Kitchen Yamaterasu"
When it comes to enjoying a trip, you can't miss the local gourmet food.
At the restaurant "Indigo Home Kitchen Yamaterasu", you can enjoy a food experience that can only be tasted in Inuyama, such as creative cuisine using local ingredients selected by the hotel chef, and local food that is prepared in front of you.
There are course and a la carte dinners, but this time I tried the dinner menu "Kuromatsu".
*Course contents change depending on the season
Rich egg yolk ravioli with truffle and cheese fragrant fluffy sauce.
All the dishes were impressive, but the most surprised was the "Indigo style caprese".
Tomato-flavored chiffon is mixed with cheese and vegetables, and the soup stock is poured over it. A unique dish that completes a Japanese-style caprese in your mouth.
Fragrantly grilled tilefish with flavorful macadamia nuts. Best match with sweet candy tomato.
They also have a wide selection of wines that go well with meat and fish dishes. If you like wine, check it out!
Enjoy Drink while Viewing the Lights of Inuyama Castle
The Bar, "Yoyama"
If you want to enjoy drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, we recommend "The Bar Yoyama" next to the restaurant!
The motifs of the building are based on the 13 dashi (festival cars) carrying karakuri dolls, a specialty of the Inuyama Festival, and the ”koyomibari" in the national treasure tea ceremony room "Jyoan". You can see the illuminated Inuyama Castle from the window.
The signature drink “Yuraku Night” is highly recommended. The alcohol content is a little hight, but the scent of matcha spreads softly, and we were able to spend a relaxing time. It's served in a matcha bowl.
There is also a food menu such as skewers and pasta, so you can have a drink after dinner outside the hotel.
"Morning Breakfast" with Fresh Local Ingredients
You can choose from two types of breakfast: "American Breakfast Set Menu" or "Japanese Breakfast Set Menu"!
The American Breakfast Set Menu features an Indigo Open Omelette with a choice of toppings. The bean and vegetable dishes were also very authentic.
The "Japanese Breakfast Set Menu" includes a gorgeous lineup of grilled fish, tempura, sashimi, and more! The "yam from Inuyama" was also excellent.
The set menu alone is quite satisfying, but in addition there is a buffet section!
You can try three different types of salmon from different regions.
You can also enjoy fine croissants and other items from the French bakery and cafe Gontran Cherrier. It's sure to be a great morning!
The restaurant is open to non-guests as well, so please visit for lunch or dinner.
Visit the National Treasure Tea House "Jyoan"
Guests of Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen can enter the Japanese Garden Urakuen free of charge upon presentation of their card key.
In the garden, there is the National Treasure "Jyoan" tea house, the Important Cultural Property "Kyu-Shodenin Shoin", the "Gen'an" restored according to old drawings, and the "Kouan" built for tea ceremonies.
A tea service is also available at Koan for a fee! Please stop by!

In this issue, we have provided a lodging report on Hotel Indigo Inuyama Urakuen.
The rooms sprinkled with Inuyama's history and culture, the restaurant featuring local ingredients, and the natural hot spring is said to be effective in beautifying the skin. It is hard to believe that it is only a 30-minute train ride from Nagoya, but we had an elegant time.
