Sanrio's popular character "Hello Kitty" will celebrate her 50th anniversary in 2024.

​The event "Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary" commemorating Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary is being held at "Sanrio Puroland" in Tama City, Tokyo! (Wednesday, November 1, 2023 to Tuesday, December 31, 2024)

There are plenty of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary, including a special greeting with Hello Kitty, special decorations at Lady Kitty House, limited-time menus, and original goods!

The attraction "Lady Kitty House" will feature special decorations commemorating its 50th anniversary and an installation space where you can enjoy projection mapping for the first time!

At the Piano La Hall, where a white piano is placed, you will be greeted by a mapping display that allows you to immerse yourself in Hello Kitty's 50 years of historical design. This is the first time that a mapping performance has been performed at Lady Kitty House!

The space where Hello Kitty's designs from 1974, when she was born, are projected all over the wall is a sight to behold! It is a trilogy with early, middle, and late stages, so please look forward to the designs for the middle and late stages that will be screened in the future.

The attraction is full of spots where you can experience Lady Kitty's lifestyle, such as a rose garden, a dress tower, a bedroom surrounded by sweets, and a tea room!

There will also be photo spots inspired by the sparkling world of crystals and aurora borealis, as well as spots where you can take photos on Tiny Chum sofas with a retro pop design. You can also place your favorite stuffed animals and acrylic stands!

The ``Cyber Tea Room,'' a tea room decorated for the first time with a futuristic theme, and artwork created in collaboration with digital creator Tera Terada will also be on display.

There is also a photo spot where the pattern becomes aurora-colored when taken with a flash! There are other spots at Lady Kitty House where you can enjoy flash photography, so be sure to look for them.

And at the end of the attraction, you can meet Hello Kitty! The background of the studio where you can take photos will also have a special 50th anniversary design. It's sure to be a special commemorative photo.

*You can take a commemorative photo with Hello Kitty using a Puroland camera (separate fee applies). Also, if you use a handheld camera, only Hello Kitty will be photographed.
