Taking advantage of new and old,
Exclusive cafe space

Cafe in Miyazakien

Three years ago, he opened an attached café with the desire to “enjoy tea more casually”. Originally a warehouse, it was renovated and reborn as a fashionable and calm old folk house cafe.

The interior of the store has a modern Japanese atmosphere that makes use of the fittings, chests, tea utensils, and clay walls that have been used since ancient times. In addition, the interior of the store, which they styled themselves, has a unique space that adds nostalgia and newness.

Cafe menu to enjoy with five senses

Otemae set

At this time of year, we recommend the "Otemae Set" (1,000 yen + tax). It is a set where you can enjoy tea by yourself, and it comes with homemade Japanese sweets. You can choose the tea leaves from sencha, matcha, black tea, and mugwort.

This time, we tried sencha! The tea comes with a paper with brewing instructions so that even first-timers can enjoy it easily.

Otemae set

First, add hot water to the 7th minute of the yuzamashi.

Otemae set

Pour the hot water from the teacup into the teapot.

Otemae set

Put the tea leaves on top of the hot water and let it float. A good scent spreads!

After 3 minutes, shake the tea bowl.

Otemae set

Squeeze every last drop into the teacup and you are done! You can taste the deep and rich flavor of the tea. You can also enjoy two or three infusions with the extra hot water because of the strength of the tea leaves.

homemade Japanese sweets

Wagashi (Japanese confectionary) changes with the seasons. This time, homemade wagashi with chestnuts, the taste of autumn. It goes well with tea.

original sparkling

This is the new original sparkling. Hojicha Sparkling and Mugwort Sparkling (1,200 yen each + tax) are now available!

Sparkling with the scent of tea leaves that you can enjoy in a wine glass is exciting with a taste that is a little different from the sparkling so far.

This time, I ordered the Hojicha Sparkling. The mellow aroma of hojicha tea and the sparkling carbonation that escapes through your nose will take you to a world of quality with just one sip. It tastes even more exceptional when drunk outside! Take-out and 6-pack gift boxes are also available for purchase, making it a great souvenir.

Wa tea and yuzu

This is "Wakocha and Yuzu" (600 yen + tax). A cup made with carefully selected “Wakocha” and locally harvested yuzu. The exhilarating taste of yuzu matches perfectly with Wa black tea!

matcha latte

"Matcha Latte" (500 yen + tax) where you can enjoy the deliciousness of matcha with less sweetness. One of their commitments is to prepare the matcha after the order is placed. If you drink it in the cold winter, your body and mind will feel relieved.

The tea terrace overlooking the tea plantation is also attractive

A tea terrace opened on a hill just a minute walk from Miyazaki-en. The terrace, which has a wooden deck over part of the tea plantation, offers a superb 180-degree view of the tea plantation! You can also see the mountains in the distance and enjoy drinks and other beverages in this extraordinary space.

You can also enjoy cafe time on the tea terrace during the pleasant seasons of spring and autumn.

Of course, we must not forget the tea leaves of Miyazakien. Face-to-face sales of tea leaves are also available next to the cafe, and we have a large selection of carefully selected tea leaves.

A large lineup of products and combinations that can only be purchased at directly managed stores! You can also purchase sencha (steamed green tea) that is in the same state as it is for each type of tea tree, such as sencha, matcha, hojicha (roasted tea), wakocha, aracha (crude tea), bancha (casual tea), and kukicha (steam tea)!

You can also choose different teas while tasting. They also sell gift packages, so the owner will suggest tea leaves recommended by the shop owner while talking to you at the store.

The tea of Miyazakien boasts tradition and history. Today, Miyazakien's teas are sold at various restaurants and cafes, but you can enjoy the charm of the teas even more by actually visiting one of their directly-managed stores. Why not experience the charm of Nukata through tea?
