The name "Myrtillecot" is a portmanteau of the French word "myrtille," which means "blueberry," and "cot," which means "hut."

Blueberries have beautiful flowers in the spring and nutritious fruits in the summer, which is why they are called "fruitful life" and "meaningful life." It also has the meaning of "a treasure trove of knowledge and wisdom" because it is filled with plenty of pulp.

As the name suggests, the store is like a treasure chest full of wisdom and blessings related to aromas and living, with shops lined up with natural items from around the world, experience-based schools, treatment salons, herb gardens, and seasonal events.

The owner, Sasaki-san, who changed from architecture work to the world of aroma. It seems that architecture and aroma are connected in the sense that they are related to people's lives and spaces.

The owner, Taeko Sasaki, says, "We want to provide not only people who like aromas, but also people who think that aromas are difficult or are unfamiliar with them."

Originally working in architecture, including urban design, she became interested in the power of natural scents on human health and daily life, and became certified in aromatherapy. After gaining experience at a Chinese herbal medicine office and a natural cosmetics brand, she has been active in many fields as an aroma instructor, consultant, and trainer.

Although it is hard to imagine from her soft demeanor, she is also a sportswoman who has won prizes in road bike competitions. She decided on the location of the restaurant after touring the Chita Peninsula on a road bike with her husband. Her hobby has also led her to become a certified "Athlete Food Meister" who manages the diet of athletes. She is a woman overflowing with intellectual curiosity.

Staff member Shiho has also trained at an Australian organic brand and is also an "AMPP Medical Phyto-Therapist" of natural plant therapy in France.
