"SUNNY DAYS KITCHEN" near the Costco Moriyama Warehouse store in Nakashidami, Moriyama-ku, Nagoya, marked by an American school bus, will reopen in May 2022!

It is an U.S. style Food Court with a dog run space on a vast site of 330㎡. The colorful school buses and tuk-tuks on the green artificial lawn will make you feel as if you are abroad.

"SUNNY DAYS KITHCEN" is located about 8 minutes by car from Kozoji Station in Kasugai City, the nearest station, and about 40 minutes by car from Nagoya City.

As I was driving, a large palm tree and an American school bus caught my eye.

The signboard of the original character is also cute!

There are 6 parking lots on the north side of the store. There is an American atmosphere even from the signboard of the parking lot. When I got out of the car, I heard music playing from the shop. You will feel better even before you enter the store!

Ms. Yamada, who greeted us brightly

This time, we interviewed the owner, Ms. Yamada.

– Please tell us about the concept of the store.

Ms. Yamada:"We want people to enjoy eating hamburgers and drinking alcohol in an open space where they can enjoy the atmosphere of a foreign country, so we're aiming for a 'near overseas' place. We've created an overseas atmosphere with green artificial lawn, a yellow American school bus, colorful tuk-tuks, and American miscellaneous goods.

As well as the American school bus, most of the miscellaneous goods displayed in the restrooms are actually vintage items imported from America from the signs displayed here and there in the store. I got it from my American friend's grandfather. I would be happy if you could pay attention to that area and enjoy it. ”

– The tuk-tuk is also cute.

Ms. Yamada: "The tuk-tuk was imported from Thailand. I changed the engine so that I could actually ride it. I repainted it in the original color and finished it in the image of the American flag."

Ms. Yamada: "The tuk tuk is an 8-seater and is used for pickup and drop off. We can pick you up at the nearest Kozoji station or your home within 10 to 15 minutes. Our family and friends use our tuk-tuk every time, and it's always been very well received. I'd be happy if the tuk-tuk pick-up and drop-off would give you a taste of what it's like to be in a foreign country. We're also open at night, so if you want to drink alcohol, I'd love for you to use the tuk-tuk."

Ms. Yamada:"Currently, 90% of our customers come with their dogs. There aren't many restaurants where you can enjoy eating with your dog in an open space, and where dogs are allowed at all seats, so that's what I'm particular about. There are many customers who enjoy taking pictures of their dogs. Also, customers are getting to know each other better with their dogs."

There is a rooftop terrace on the second floor of the dining space. In this space, you can enjoy a private BBQ. Can also be used as a dog run! You can see the palm trees from the roof terrace, so you can feel like you are abroad.
