Okazaki's long-established miso shop joins forces
8830miso.
– “8830miso” is characterized by the fact that you can enjoy the taste of two long-established miso shops in Okazaki City.
Ms. Amano: “If we were going to open a miso soup stand in Okazaki City, I thought it would be Haccho miso. When I proposed to both companies the thoughts of "8830miso", they readily agreed. It was like a dream come true, and I was moved by the fact that the two companies would cooperate in this way.
We wanted more people to know about the deliciousness and charm of miso, so we worked with “New Year’s Eve” to create visuals that would catch the eye of young people. We want people to enjoy miso soup as easily as at a coffee stand. ”
– Currently, you open a miso soup stand in Kagoda Park, and also open a shop at various events.
Ms. Amano: "We would like to have a permanent café in Kagoda Park, but we cannot add a building, so we are currently proposing a miso soup stand as a stall. Also, every Sunday, we have a stall at Camping Office osoto (https://osoto.net/okazaki), a shared office in Okazaki, from 9:00 to 13:00. (*OSOTO admission fee 500 yen / Miso Soup + bread included)"
– Please tell us about your future prospects.
Ms. Amano: "I would like to continue the '8830miso' initiative, which combines the ideas of revitalizing the shopping district, rebuilding the park, and the local flavor of 'Hatcho Miso'. We also continue to clean up Kagoda Park twice a month. I, as well as volunteers from the community, work together to clean the park. I hope to maintain the Miso Soup Stand as a base cafe for the community as well."
I actually tried "8830miso" miso soup!
This time, we visited “Camping Office osoto”, a shared office in Okazaki City where “8830miso” opens every Sunday. If you pay the entrance fee of 500 yen for osoto, you will get a set of miso soup and bread from a popular bakery in Okazaki city.
It's shaped like a coffee stand, and it's served while dripping one cup at a time! You can choose between Kakukyu and Maruya.
By the way, if you look at the inside, it looks like this. First, put 10 g of miso in the cup.
After setting, put dried bonito powder in the filter.
Pour 100cc~200cc of hot water and stir.

When you take a sip, the taste of miso spreads in your mouth, and your whole body is wrapped in comfort. Perfect for cold winter!
By the way, the bread that comes with the set is also exceptional! You can enjoy bread from a bakery in Okazaki City that Ms. Amano likes.
You can also add shichimi and pesticide-free black pepper to miso soup! These are seasonings carefully selected by Mr. Amano. I'm at a loss as to which one to put in.
I decided to add chicken samurai shichimi. Even with just a small amount of miso soup, it adds richness and umami! Your body will feel warm!
How was it? The stylish Miso Soup Stand was started in hopes of revitalizing the shopping district and keeping their favorite park alive. Not only can you enjoy miso at the Miso Soup Stand, but you can also actually purchase miso in the "8830miso" package (20g each set of 2 companies of hatcho miso / 400 yen). Please enjoy the heartwarming Miso Soup.
