[Since 1965] Build an Ideal House with "Obata Kensetsu" that is Loved by the Okazaki & Toyota Locals
PR

Obata Kensetsu is a construction company that has continued for three generations since its establishment in 1965, based in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. Many of our customers come to us through word-of-mouth or referrals, and 70% of newly built buildings are highly trusted and loved by the locals.

This time, we will introduce the charm of Obata Kensetsu, which is closely related to the customer's thoughts.
This is a must-see especially for those who are considering building a house in the Okazaki/Toyota area!

"Obata Kensetsu" is located in Okazaki City, Aichi.

They can respond to any design if there is a customer's request without compromising functionality with a completely free design. It is characterized by consistent support from land purchase to house building.

Received the first Good Design Award in Okazaki City!

In addition, they are also focusing on local production for local consumption, and the solid flooring is a standard specification. You can propose a comfortable house with a touch of wood and a pleasant touch.

One of Obata Kensetsu 's great appeals is that they are kind enough to consult with on small matters such as "consultation of land", "budget", and "things that are difficult to consult with other companies".

Equipped with Kids' Bed and Kids' Space
Showroom

A spacious showroom where you can feel the warmth of wood. The meeting space is substantial and very comfortable.

Various product samples such as flooring, carpets, and wallpaper are available, so you can check the color and texture of the actual product.

The second floor is equipped with a kids bed and a kids space!
Children can be seen from the meeting table, so it's popular with families with small children.

In addition, the showroom is barrier-free, with strollers and elevators installed for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Three Generations Continue to Protect Local Life

Shoji Obata, the representative

– First, please tell us about the history of Obata Kensetsu.

Representative Obata: "My father founded Obata Architecture in 1965. Since then, we have continued as a construction company rooted in the region without greatly expanding the area to Okazaki and Toyota.

Even after Obata Kensetsu was incorporated, it remained a cramped space of eight tatami mats as both a residence and construction company. The location was never as convenient as it is now, but together with my wife, the managing director, I went to the customer's place with materials and samples, and steadily built the house.

After that, in 1970, I thought it was important to create a workshop first, so I built a work warehouse in Eta-cho. Currently, the workshop is used as the MOKUMOKU workshop, where customers can see the solid boards and carpenters process them.

It was in 1996 that we set up a company building in earnest. It was in 2016 that we moved from there and moved to our current building. Although the company building has grown and the number of staff members has increased, the attitude of being close to local customers, no matter how small, has never changed.

Our staff always puts the customer first in their work. ”

While Cherishing the Connection
Building Homes that Contribute to Society Through Local Production for Local Consumption

– Is there anything important in building a house?

Representative Obata: "At Obata Kensetsu, we name the cypress from the upstream of the local Yahagi River as Aoi Cypress, and the cedar as Matsudaira Sugi, and we are building a house with a registered trademark. We use plenty of timber from Aichi Prefecture. The use of these products is subject to subsidies and subsidies, and is appreciated by our customers.

Many people think that "Preventing to cut down trees means protecting the forest", but that is actually not the case. In order to grow healthy forests, it is important to actively use wood, which will also contribute to society.

By using local wood, we can protect the river and prevent flooding. We communicate this to our customers as well.

In addition, using hinoki cypress from Aichi Prefecture for structural materials has many advantages for customers. By using locally produced materials, the house will be suitable for the climate of Aichi Prefecture, you can enjoy the scent, and the house will last for a long time. ”

At Framework Raising Ceremony, miso and money are offered under the main pillar to pray for prosperity. Miso is for the smartness so you don't have to worry about food, and money is to be blessed with money.

In addition, customers will set up their own pillars. If you have children, ask them to sign the pillar as a souvenir.

Representative Obata:"It was during the "lumber prices shock". Many housing companies were in trouble because they had no supply of wood. However, the lumber business people with whom Obata Kensetsu has a long-standing relationship said, "For you, Obata-san, we are always ready to supply materials. We can take on more and more orders". They also supported us.

While valuing the connection between people, we have built a house that values trees.

In addition, we are building homes every day while giving consideration to social contribution and the environment in all our work, such as measures against vacant houses and measures against global warming and energy conservation through insulation work for renovation. ”

Creating an Environment where Residents can Live Happily

−At Obata Kensetsu, not only the design but also the comfort of the space is thoroughly pursued.

Representative Obata:“Building a house is not just about creating a place to live. Since we have introduced the "1ALLS System", our customers say that they are always as comfortable as they are in a hotel and that their living standards have risen.

Taking advantage of the high airtightness and high insulation performance of the house, it is a system that cools, heats and ventilates all rooms 24 hours a day with just one general household air conditioner. Not only is it a comfortable space all year round, but it also saves on your electricity bill.

It has obtained the highest rank of ★6 in the Energy Conservation Labeling System (BELS), so you can take over the house with peace of mind for your children and grandchildren. ”

Thorough Support from Land Search

Representative Obata: “At Obata Kensetsu, we operate the “Iwazu Real Estate Agency” in the real estate division. Because of the deep connection with the locals, there is a lot of land information that is not available elsewhere.

Not only can we help you find land, but we also provide a place where you can keep your belongings for those who are rebuilding, and we have a real estate department, so we can introduce you to temporary housing. If you are considering making a house, I would be happy if you could feel free to talk to me. ”

The shape and size of the house you want to build depends on the conditions of the land, so it is reassuring to have support from the land search.

To Protect Local People through Home

Managing Director Sayuri Obata

− Mr. Obata was in charge of the tangible aspects of building the house, and his wife, Sayuri, was in charge of the intangible aspects.

We also asked about connections with local people.

Managing Director: “As Obata Kensetsu will celebrate its 60th anniversary next year, we have many customers who have been with us for three generations.

In this day and age, everything is being digitized, but we want to maintain a relationship where we can easily contact our customers at any time, so we value contact with our customers.

For example, we hold Nagashi Somen (flowing noodles) in the summer and Mochitsuki (rice cake pounding) in the winter. Last year, more than 200 people from 50 groups participated in the two-day event.

It seems that there are many people who look forward to each issue of "News from the scent of wood" to customers (new construction, renovation, real estate contract customers). This paper is full of the thoughts of Obata Kensetsu, such as information about housing and caution against fraud.

In the spring, I boil the bamboo shoots given by the customers and share them with others, and in the summer, during the midsummer festival, I hand out freshly picked melons from the customers, who are melon farmers.

At the end of the year, we go to the homes of all retirees who request them and hand them the calendars. Every day, I value the creation of an environment where people feel free to ask questions about maintenance and remodeling on the spot. ”

The writings on the bottle was written by the Managing Director himself.

-Does Obata Kensetsu also produce rice and sake?

Managing Director:"That's right. With the cooperation of local sake breweries, we make our own original sake using local cypress. It is a sake with the aroma of Japanese cypress. It is given to customers at the ground-breaking ceremony, the frame raising ceremony, and at the final handover of the house.

Some people buy it as a repeater, and it's a hidden hit and has a good reputation among the staff. ”

Managing Director:“We have been trying to grow rice for the past three years. In fact, the representative himself rides on the tractor and rice transplanter to grow rice.

For Framework Raising Ceremony, we need rice, sake, and salt, so we are doing our best to celebrate.

At Obata Kensetsu, we want to protect our valued customers as much as possible. We are particularly focused on crime prevention, and are a member of the Aichi Prefecture Self-Guard Association, which received an award from the Aichi Prefectural Police. It makes me happy that people rely on Obata Kensetsu every day for a variety of things, such as security, land sales consultations, inheritance, and insurance consultations. I would like to continue to do my best to help our customers. ”

Completely Free Design! Any Kinds of Designs are Welcome

Obata Kensetsu 's house building is completely free design. Without compromising on any design, he proposes a house that is thoroughly particular about color, shape, atmosphere, materials, etc. It is also a great point that you can make proposals after verifying maintainability, total cost, and performance.

As the first Good Design Award winner in Okazaki City, it has an established reputation for its high design capabilities.

It is also possible to create original, one-of-a-kind furniture.

Let's actually see the model house from here!

A Report after Visiting a Model House

This time, we visited a model house built on a hill with a great view.

With a site of 41 tsubo and a building area of 27 tsubo, it is a compact model house that feels larger than the area. It is a model house that feels expansive, which is hard to believe that it is a 27 tsubo building.

When you enter the entrance, a warm space where you can feel the warmth of wood spreads out. It has cleared the target value set by the government by 2050, insulation grade 7, and is a high-performance, high-insulation house with double insulation.

Solid flooring is pleasant to walk on with bare feet, and the feel of natural wood will soothe the soles of your feet.

The dining table is made from a single piece of wood. It can be used for various furniture such as TV stands, counters, and shelves.

We have our own processing factory, so you can see what kind of wood we have and what materials we have.

The interior is also equipped with the "1ALLS system", so it is very comfortable all year round. A single home air conditioner is enough, so you can save on your electricity bill.

The model house has a sky deck. On sunny days, you can enjoy BBQ and pool play. No matter what you say, the scenery is superb!

The second floor has a master bedroom and a children's room. Furthermore, by bringing the plumbing to the 2nd floor, the 1st floor has a clean impression.

The solid Matsudaira cedar flooring is standard in all rooms, which is a nice point. In addition, it seems that it is also subject to subsidies because it uses trees in Okazaki City.

The real relationship between the customer and Obata Kensetsu begins after the building is completed. As after-sales maintenance, we will send you a maintenance postcard every 3 months. If you have a request for repair or inspection, you can easily apply.

Obata Kensetsu has continued for three generations from the previous generation. While carefully protecting the local people, they are making homes sincerely. Through the interview, I felt envious of the people of Okazaki and Toyota, saying, "How happy I would be if there was a construction company like Obata Kensetsu in my hometown...".

For those who are considering building a house, consultation on remodeling and renovation, installation of handrails, replacement of mesh doors, etc., no matter how small.

Please feel free to contact us.
