[Sakae, Nagoya] Sauna x Coworking!? I tried teleworking at Sauna Lab Nagoya.
Table of Contents
In recent years, the “sauna” has become a boom. In fact, it is becoming more and more popular as a place for business.
"Work in the sauna?" "What kind of facilities and environment is prepared?"
And so many other questions arise.
So this time, I tried telework at the sauna facility "SaunaLab" where you can enjoy a full-fledged Finnish sauna in Sakae, Nagoya!
What is "SaunaLab"?
I came to Sauna Labo Nagoya.
When you take the elevator to the 8th floor, you will find yourself in a wonderful space that will make you forget that you are in Sakae, the center of Nagoya.
BGM is Mr. Kengo Tokusashi, who is also in charge of the music of "Sadou (Sauna way)". It is wrapped in a pleasant scent of aroma.
The concept of Sauna Lab is "WORK x SAUNA x LIFE". In Finland, the home of saunas, the sauna is a part of life, and it seems to be an inseparable existence even if you cut it off. Work is part of life. For this reason, Sauna Lab proposes a work style where you can relax and work in a space with a sauna.
A kids room is also available. It seems that there are many people who come with their families.

I actually tried telework at Sauna Lab!
Sauna Labo Nagoya has two price plans. There is a “Work Style Plan” that only includes the living space, and a “Sauna Style Plan” that includes the entire building including the sauna.

After checking in, change your clothes in the changing room.
The sauna lab is fully equipped with lockers and changing rooms, and all towels and wear are available for rent, so you can come empty-handed!
It's nice to be able to casually drop by during work or when you want to change your mood.
Sauna Lab's original poncho is very comfortable with waffle fabric! I like it so much that I bought it for my home.
Just by changing into a poncho, I felt relaxed.
Stay hydrated at the drink bar
Hydration is essential before entering the sauna!
Sauna Labo Nagoya has a free drink bar. Hot coffee and herbal tea are also available, so it's perfect for work.
I tried detox water this time.
Surprisingly, there was a cucumber in addition to the lemon! Cucumber has a diuretic effect, and it has the effect of promoting the excretion of excess water, waste products, and toxins in the body.
Enjoy 3 types of saunas! Women-only area "LAPIN MOUNTAIN"
Before starting work, let's relax and clear your head in the sauna.
First, head to the women-only area, "LAPIN MOUNTAIN".
In this area you can enjoy a meditation sauna for 1 person, a sauna for 2 people, a main sauna for 5 people and an ice mist sauna.
First, head to the two-person sauna with a gentle temperature of 60°C. I don't feel suffocated, and I gradually sweat.
A characteristic way of enjoying the Finnish sauna is "loyly". Aroma water is poured over the sauna stones to generate a large amount of steam.
Along with the sizzling sound, a pleasant aroma spreads throughout the sauna.
After sweating enough, cool down in the 0°C ice mist sauna.
To the rest space "FOREST LIVING" next to "LAPIN MOUNTAIN".
The point of the sauna before work is to enter lightly and quickly so as not to be untidy. If you are in a state of preparation, your body will enter relaxation mode, and work efficiency will decrease on the contrary.
After 5 to 8 minutes in the sauna and 30 seconds to 1 minute in the ice sauna, my brain felt refreshed.
"WORK SPACE" where you can work in your preferred style
Finally, let's go to "WORK SPACE".
You can choose freely according to your preference, such as an open work area, an area where you can work while standing, or a private room area.
Vihita's soothing fragrance calms the mind.
The semi-private rooms are designed in the image of a sauna. There are plenty of outlets available.
You can close the door and turn it into a semi-private room, so it's perfect for small meetings and online conferences.
It can also be used as a space to take a break between work or to think.
I actually tried working in this semi-private space, but I was surprised at how well I could concentrate, probably because of the sauna effect.
Wi-Fi is fast and it is stress-free. The Wi-Fi environment is also important for telework.
And the biggest feature of this workspace is that it has a men-only loft sauna. This is intended for short-term use, so you can enter with your clothes on between work! 3 people on the 1st floor and 1-2 people on the 2nd floor.
The workspace also has a loft space where you can lie down and take a break. (Male and female shared space)
Recommended for online meetings! "Tele Sauna"
In the "FOREST LIBRARY" where you can freely read books about saunas, there is also a "TeleSauna" recommended for online meetings!
I actually had an online meeting, but when I closed the door, almost no sound leaked out. If you want to concentrate alone or have an online meeting, please use it.
