Like a dwarf! ?
Create something that has never existed before!
SWEETS BANK opened in April 2021, on a spacious site about 10 minutes by car from JR Hamamatsu Station. What is overwhelming is this building! The eye-catching visuals are so exciting that you will feel as if you were a small dwarf.
What they are particular about is the "dining table, which is a symbol of family harmony." All furniture is scaled out 13x and every detail is taken care of.
This is the entrance. I was impressed by the high quality that looks like a dining table even from the view of Google Earth!
This is what it looks like from under the chair. It seems that the craftsman hand-painted everything so that you can see the grain of the wood. I am thrilled with the atmosphere of looking up at the dining table from directly below.
Even the smallest details are taken into consideration, and it looks like a newspaper is placed on the dining table. Whether it's an electrical outlet or an advertisement in the corner of a newspaper, it's an interesting appearance that makes you want to look up all the time.
Next to the entrance, there are three boxes that look like paper bags. Many people take pictures in front of it, and it is also popular as a photo spot.
In addition to Shunkado, the facility also has the Morita branch of the Hamamatsu Iwata Shinkin Bank. An object with a motif of a bright red pig piggy bank is also available! So cute!
The complex facility "SWEETS BANK" is the result of the desire to "create something that has never existed before" and "create a memorable facility."
There are lots of "cute!" in the store
When you visit the "SWEETS BANK" store, you will be surprised by the stylish hotel lobby-like space. This lobby is designed so that anyone can spend time casually, and it is also used as a place for locals to relax and enjoy their to-go products.
The impressive egg object is also exciting.
The firewood that is likely to be found in the hotel lobby is also designed, and the attention to detail is scattered everywhere.
The restroom sign is cute too! The high design is also attractive enough to make you want to take a picture.
SWEETS BANK limited products are also available!
This is "SHOP Shunkado" in the facility. In addition to the famous Unagi Pie, they have a wide variety of sweets such as freshly baked sweets only available at SWEETS BANK, Japanese sweets, and Western sweets.
An Unagi Pie that everyone has eaten at least once. Sweets Bank limited package "Assorted eel pie 15 pieces (1,782 yen)".
This is an assortment of Unagi Pie (standard, nuts, and V.S.O.P.).
Shunkado, which has never changed its packaging in its 135 years since its founding, created a limited edition package for the opening of this SWEETS BANK. There are illustrations inspired by Hamamatsu and designs inspired by sweets making, and just looking at the package design will make you feel excited.
This is a limited cookie can "Kobito no Petit Fours Can" made to commemorate the 1st anniversary of "SWEETS BANK". The pink can is "Kiichigo (raspberry)". It has a crunchy texture that is wrapped in raspberry powder while being soaked in sweet and sour ruby chocolate.
The yellow can is "Mango". It is a smooth cookie that melts in your mouth with mango powder soaked in vanilla-flavored white chocolate.
Gorgeous sweets also appear in the showcase. They have prepared a lot of sweets using seasonal fruits. It's so hard to decide which one to choose!
The Jonamagashi (432 yen each) made by a Japanese confectionery craftsman is also very popular. A high-quality confectionery with attention to detail, such as a red pig piggy bank “Piggy” and a milk pot with the motif of a huge SWEETS BANK object. Seasonal fresh sweets that change monthly are also available.

Take a break at their directly managed cafe and bakery
This is a cafe and bakery directly managed by Shunkado, "Tora To Fusen". There are various menus such as a menu using the original white bread "Toranda's yellow mountain brioche" and a deli plate for lunch.
This is the very popular "Toranda's Yellow Yamagata Brioche" (990 yen per loaf). The bread is carefully baked every day by a baker, and boasts a fluffy texture. It uses plenty of butter and eggs, and the good aroma is also attractive. The baking time is around 11:30 every day. If you find it, we recommend purchasing it as soon as possible.
They also have a menu using brioche. This is the popular "French Toast Crumble and Strawberry Milk (990 yen)". French toast that has been soaked overnight and baked, topped with chantilly cream, domestic strawberries, and crunchy crumbles! The acidity of the strawberry and the sweetness of the cream are a perfect match.
Lunch menu "Deli lunch (980 yen ~)". Lunch with farm salad, appetizer (choose from 2 or 4 types), main dish, soup, rice or homemade brioche. They use a lot of locally grown vegetables, and it's a dish that satisfies the mind and body.
We recommend the Unagi Pie and mascarpone coffee latte (700 yen) to end the meal. It contains coffee jelly, so you can enjoy various textures. Enjoy with crispy Unagi Pie!
