The Hydrangea Festival is held during the month of June every year in Katahara Onsen, Hydrangea Village, where 50,000 hydrangeas are planted and bloom in profusion. About 100,000 visitors come to the festival, and extra buses are available. At night, the area is illuminated, creating a different atmosphere from that of the daytime, making it one of the best places to view hydrangeas in the Tokai area.

"Sangane-san Skyline" | Gamagori City, Aichi

The Sangane-san Skyline is a 5.1 km road running from Hazu Town to Katahara Onsen (Gamagori City). Also known as the "Hydrangea Line," approximately 70,000 hydrangeas bloom from June to early July. You can enjoy driving among the hydrangeas while overlooking the panoramic view of Mikawa Bay.

Additionally, there are many great photo spots around the summit of Sangane-san Skyline where you can capture pictures of the hydrangeas and the grand panorama of Mikawa Bay together.

The Bisai Hydrangea Festival is held at Mimo Shrine. It is held on the first two days of the festival, and the shrine is lit up for about a week.

Tsuruma Park

Tsuruma Park a comprehensive park located in Showa Ward, Nagoya, is a representative park of Nagoya. It is loved by locals as a famous spot for flowers such as cherry blossoms, roses, and irises, as well as a place of relaxation and sports and recreation surrounded by lush greenery.

Among them, Chayagasaka Park has the largest number of hydrangeas planted, with over 5,000 hydrangeas. The footbridge connecting the north and south sides of the park is named "Ajisai (hydrangea) Bridge."
