"Irotas cafe"- Enjoy exquisite spice curry that everyone from beginners to advanced can enjoy
Table of Contents
Spice curry is booming these days! However, there are times when the food ordered is too spicy and can't eat it, or it is too spicy for small children. ......
However, irotas cafe, introduced here, is a restaurant that even beginners to spiced curry can enjoy. It is seasoned in such a way that even those who do not like ethnic food can easily enjoy it. Of course, they use a lot of spices, so even advanced customers will be very satisfied with their delicious curry!
A curry shop with a cute signboard
Ilotas Cafe opened in August last year in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from both Tsurumai Line Kawana Station and Irinaka Station. A cute signboard is a landmark.
Both take-out and eat-in are available, and the restaurant features an all terrace seating area. On sunny days, you can enjoy delicious spiced curry under a parasol.
Unfortunately, it's cloudy today. This open space looks very comfortable on a sunny day!
There are 2 tables for 4 people and 2 tables for 2 people for a total of 12 seats. There is a large fan, so it is comfortable even in the summer.
Even on rainy days, they will put a tarp over you so you can eat outside. This is great for this time of year when it rains a lot. On days with strong winds or heavy rain, the restaurant will be open only for take-out, so we recommend checking Instagram in advance!
Charges must be paid in advance. Order and pay at the cashier before taking your seat.
What is the owner's specialty curry?
The owner, Mr. Ito, is involved in catering. Decided to start something new, learned about his favorite curry by himself, and decided to open a shop where even beginners can enjoy spice curry.
The hot pepper sticker on the menu indicates the spiciness of the curry. You can choose the spiciness that suits you.
The main is 3 kinds of spice curry. Each curry is made with more than 10 kinds of spices. Plenty of whole spices are used.
You can order 2 types of curry for an additional 100 yen, and 3 types for an additional 200 yen. The main spice curry never changes, so you can eat it whenever you come. From time to time, limited-time menus will also appear, so be sure to check them out!
Pork Bindal was available for a limited time on this day.
Discerning curry
Using more than 10 kinds of spices
I tried two recommended curries.
Two kinds of achar (Indian pickles), coriander, mizuna, egg and lots of toppings.
Pakchi and dried herbs frame the curry. It's colorful and looks delicious!
The restaurant offers a spiced curry that even beginners can enjoy, and the topping, achar, is also a key point for beginners to enjoy. Like rappe, it has no peculiar taste and is easy to eat. The cereal rice is also a nice point. You can also choose white rice.
First of all, I will have a shrimp coconut curry that Mr Ito is particular about.
Black grains are mustard seeds and black pepper. The feature of Ito's curry is plenty of whole spices. When you take a bite, the gentle sweetness of the coconut and the spiciness of the spices spread throughout your mouth.
The aroma and flavor of spices!
Heated spices and oil are added for tempering to bring out the aroma of the spices. Even though it contains plenty of whole spices, it does not remain in your mouth. It's full of big shrimp, and it's a great filling!
Another recommendation is the rich butter keema curry.
It is not spicy, so even those who do not like spicy food can eat it. The rich umami of butter is tasted. It is full of meat and is also very satisfying!
It's delicious to eat one by one, but if you mix them together, you can enjoy a different flavor.
Above all, the curry you eat on the open terrace is exceptional.
If you like spicy food, you can adjust the spiciness with the spices on the table.
Water is detox water. A cute logo is also designed on the paper cup.
Many new sweets in June
In addition, sweets were introduced last month!
These sweets are made by Mr. Ito and are all made to go well with curry.
There are 4 types of baked sweets: financier, lemon cake, scones, sables, and 3 types of lemon cheesecake, coconut blancmange, and chai pudding bottle sweets. Taking-out is also available.
We recommend the cute bottled sweets. We tried the coconut blancmange.
The cold, light-tasting blancmange cools down the curry-heated mouth.
The strawberry jam on top is also handmade by Mr. Ito. The pulp is chunky and has a gentle sweetness.
It's nice to eat in and enjoy an open lunch, but on a sunny day it's also nice to take out and have a picnic at the nearby Kawana Park.
Even spiced curry beginners can enjoy Irotas cafe. They will be offering limited-time-only curries on an irregular basis in the future!
Enjoy spicy curry and relaxing sweets on the terrace. It is a recommended shop for mom friends and families.
