The Akanuma area of Nagano City is known as one of the leading apple growing areas and the birthplace of the Shinshu apple. In early 1897, the previous generation opened "Yamadai Farm" and has continued to produce apples with a special attention to detail.

With the idea of "I want my grandchildren to eat with peace of mind", they grow apples with low pesticides, mainly organic fertilizers. Five or six carefully selected varieties are cultivated, and around September you can enjoy Nagano's original variety "Shinano Dolce" and the sweet "Shuei". The apple orchard is open to the public for free, and you can pick as many apples as you like!
