Nagoya Municipal Subway A 10-minute walk from Sengencho Station on the Tsurumai Line. In Meido-cho, Nishi-ku, Nagoya City, near Nagoya Station, there is a wholesale district where you can buy candy, toys, stationery, and other items at great prices.

This time, we visited four wholesale stores in Meidocho: Hori Shoten, Sugiyama Shoten, Sakurai Shoten, and Tatsuya.
Hori Shoten
The first place I would like to introduce is Hori Shoten. There are shops on the 1st and 2nd floors, and you can find not only cheap sweets, but also festival goods, toys, and stationery.
When you enter the store, you will be surprised by the number of products. Somehow nostalgic products and brand new products that I have never seen before. What kind of toy is this? It's a fulfilling product lineup that makes you want to stay longer while thinking about it.
Hori Shoten offers a wide variety of unique sweets. Among them, we highly recommend the original gifts available only at Hori Shoten! This time, we would like to introduce two carefully selected gifts.
"Aichi Dera Umya Bento" is packed with sweets originating in Aichi Prefecture. In fact, surprisingly, many of the dagashi were born in the Tokai area.

Sakurai Shoten, Tatsuya
Sakurai Shoten" and "Tatsuya" are two wholesale stores that specialize in bagged confections. The lineup of bags of sweets in front of the stores is a sight to behold! This is the perfect place to buy candy for adults.
