Let's catch red sea bream in the fishing town of Minamiise!
"Fishing Park Sasukeya"

Minami-Ise town so popular that fishing is so popular that Minami-Ise town Town Fishing Festival is held. It is a very popular town for fishing enthusiasts because you can enjoy various kinds of fishing such as embankment fishing, offshore fishing, raft fishing, boat fishing, and surfing.

We came to "Fishing Park Sasukeya" because I wanted to try fishing.

At the fishing pond, you can catch red sea bream, yellowtail, striped jack, grouper trout, horse mackerel, etc. It is also a fishing park where you can enjoy outdoor fishing and barbecue from a mega float.

The Miura brothers run the business. The Miura's carefully raise snapper in their fishing pond. Both of them kindly gave us, almost beginners in fishing, a lecture.

Try sea bream fishing!

Now it's time to try fishing. First of all, the lecture starts from how to use the rod!

However, after the first hit, it was difficult to catch any fish.... But what a luxurious time to spend relaxing in the beach breeze like this!

A total of 2 red sea bream were caught. It seems that there are many people who catch 20 to 30 fish.

Preparing fish is quite difficult. At Sasukeya, you can prepare the fish you caught. (200 yen for removing scales and 200 yen for removing internal organs)

Beachside cafe on Taso Shirahama Beach

About 30 minutes by car from Sasukeya. Head to Taso Shirahama Beach, a popular beach spot with white sandy beaches. It's lunch time at the beachside cafe "T-BONE STEAK CAFE WOOD FIRE MEAT BEER"!

Here, you can enjoy American-style menus such as the T-BONE steak in the store name, fish & chips, tacos, and sandwiches. It seems that it was opened as a facility for people to visit Taso Shirahama casually.

In Minami-Ise town, where the climate is warm, various citrus fruits such as unshu mandarin oranges are cultivated. I heard a rumor that there is a “Mikan soft serve ice cream” using citrus fruits from Minami-Ise town, so I went to Gokasho Mikan Direct Sales Store “Tsumiki”.

This is the rumored “mandarin orange soft serve” (400 yen).

Original soft-serve ice cream made with plenty of citrus juice from time to time, such as mandarin oranges, dekotan, seminole, and sweet summer. This day is "Unshu mandarin orange". The mandarin orange flavor was strong and it had a refreshing taste. This is perfect after a meal!
