"Togu Fudo Waterfall"

About 20 minutes by car from Arisue, we came to "Togu Fudo Falls".

Rich in nature and beautiful scenery, Minami Ise is often used as a filming location for movies. The “Togu Fudo Falls” that we visited this time also appeared in the movie “Aonatsu Kimi ni Koi Shita 30 Nichi” released in August 2018.

Togu Fudo Falls is said to have been a place where practitioners once practiced and prayed. By the waterfall, there is a small shrine dedicated to Fudo Myo-o, and on O-Fudo-san Day (28th of every month), people from the area visit the shrine.

Once you step inside, you will be enveloped in a sacred atmosphere. I felt my heart quiet down. Climb the stairs with a side view of a small waterfall.

This is Togu Fudo Falls. The waterfall, which splits a single large board, has a drop of about 15m. The abundant amount of water does not go away even in the winter when there is little rain. Just a superb view. It is a beauty that makes you want to look at it forever.

A person's name is carved on a large tree next to a small shrine that enshrines Fudo Myoo. In the past, it was also a place for elementary school excursions. The name engraved at that time has grown and remains as it is. Togu Fudo Falls is still maintained and protected by the locals.

The road is a dead end and there is very little space to turn the car. There is a parking space in front, so please park your car there.
