The origin of Mokumoku! Sausage Making Experience

Mokumoku Tezykuri Farm was originally started by a group of pig farmers. When a neighbor asked them to teach him how to make sausage, they started a class, which led to the increase of facilities one by one and the farm became a large one. Now you can experience sausage making, which can be said to be the origin of Mokumoku!

*Boiled Wiener Class: 1,750 yen (elementary school students and above) Trial class is available for 2 or more people

Not only can you experience it, but you can also learn about food.

Start by mixing the meat. Add potato starch, and if you like, add oregano and basil herbs and mix in by hand. When it becomes sticky, it is a sign that it will be tasty!

After that, cut the white meat into small pieces and add them, being careful not to crush them. By doing this, you get a coarsely ground texture that spreads as soon as you eat it.

Sheep intestines are wrapped around the end of the machine where the meat comes out.

Once mixed, the meat is stuffed into the sausage maker. By clicking and pulling with the fingers, like a pistol, the meat is inserted into the sheep's intestines.

When you fill it all up, it will form a long shape. Just twist it around and it will look familiar! After cutting the twisted parts with scissors, boil for about 10 minutes.

After boiling, you can taste or take home 6 to 8 sausages! The best part of the experience is that you can learn about the background of the ingredients that you see on your dinner table every day. While boiling the sausages, the staff will talk about food education, so you can spend valuable time with them.

Get lost in your thoughts while feeling nature!
"Noten Mokumoku no Yu"

Located in a free area, the outdoor hot spring is surrounded by nature and offers high-quality water. According to Mr. Hamabe of the public relations department, this hot spring is a place where a lot of care is taken, such as using famous hot springs from all over Japan as references and ordering materials from overseas!

The hallway has an open feel, just like a Japanese restaurant. The lighting that evokes the image of flowers is also wonderful.

The indoor bath has a high ceiling and is spacious. On days when the weather is nice, the back door can be opened to let you feel the breeze outside.

The first thing you'll see in the open-air bath is the raw spring water. The lukewarm water that happened to spring up from 1,000 meters underground. The color of the hot water varies from brown to black depending on the weather that day. At the time of the interview, it was a light green color that harmonized with nature.

If you go to the back, you will see "Mokumoku no Yu". The theme of the hot water changes every month, and at the time of the interview, it was a "mint bath" that seemed to have a relaxing scent.

Further up in the back, there is a cooling space with a large stone!

Surrounded by greenery, the outdoor baths are illuminated!

At the top of a gentle stone staircase is the 'Konohagakure no Yu'. The quaint bathtub, hollowed out of a natural monolith in a space surrounded by trees, looks as if it could be a hot-spring inn! Close your eyes and you can hear the sound of leaves rustling and birds chirping!

At the shop in the park

The Mokumoku Tezukuri Farm handles everything from farming to processing. Almost all the food you see in the park can be purchased, and there are two stores in the free area.

The classic ham sausage is perfect as a gift!

Mokumoku's specialty, the impactful swirled sausage!

Bread and sweets are made in the malt factory inside the park!

Of course beer, too!

New product coffee warabimochi.

You can purchase ham, sausages, bread, beer, sweets, etc. made within the park at the "Mokumoku Shop." You can enjoy the tastes you had at the restaurant and the tastes you experienced at each workshop when you go home. Of course, if you give it as a souvenir or present, it will definitely be appreciated!

You can also purchase the long-awaited new rice for Mokumoku fans across the country.

They also sell sizes perfect for trials and souvenirs!

If you want to casually stop by, I also recommend the "Yasaijyuku Ichiba" (vegetable market). You can purchase vegetables, rice, tofu, etc. grown by local people. Popular products include "Go-shichi-go," rice with a chewy texture, and "Honki no Zaru Tofu," which is said to be the richest Tofu in Japan.

"Honki no Zaru Tofu" is made using Tomoda soybeans, which were produced a long time ago in the Tomoda area of Iga City. They have larger grains and a stronger sweetness than regular soybeans, so they asked the farmer to make them again. This tofu is made with soy milk concentration up to 15% and is made over a long period of time. The level of seriousness is truly extraordinary!

Agriculture is the origin of food culture!
A factory farm where you can eat to know, experience and learn

“Iga no Sato Mokumoku Tezukuri Farm” is both a factory and a farm. You can deeply understand food culture through experiences, play, and meals. Once you go there, you'll want to go back and eat there again, and every time you go, you'll feel the warmth of so many people's hands and lives.

This is the season when appetite increases. Why not enjoy the seasonal products at Mokumoku Tezukuri Farm and experience the craftsmanship that is the origin of food culture?
