Autumn is deepening and the season of beautiful autumn leaves has arrived. There are many attractive places to go out in various regions, but many people may be tempted to go "camping" to enjoy an elegant time surrounded by forests, mountains, and rivers.

This is a must-see for campers and outdoor enthusiasts! A new style of camp food, "Enjoy the World's Outdoor Meals with Frozen Food," was born, allowing you to enjoy camp food in a delicious and stylish way never before possible.

Easy and delicious! Karamino Foods
"Enjoy the World's Outdoor Meals with Frozen Food"

Karamino Foods Co., Ltd.’s “Outdoor meals to enjoy with frozen foods”, was launched in October 2022. It is said that this is the first frozen food for outdoor use in Japan. With a rich lineup of 8 types in total, you can easily cook delicious gourmet foods from all over the world.

Until now, the general idea was that frozen food was something you ate inside your home. This "World's Outdoor Meals" overturns that concept. It is an excellent product that can be comfortably cooked outdoors while taking advantage of the goodness that only frozen food can offer.

In this way, if you put it in a cooler box with other ingredients, it can be used as a cooling agent.

Large refrigerants can take up a lot of space in a cooler box or bag, and they can be heavy and cumbersome to carry home. In such cases, "World's Outdoor Meals" can be quickly converted into refrigerant! If you eat them on site, your luggage on the way home will be lighter, making them very convenient.

Also, since these are individual servings and can be used up, the amount can be adjusted to suit the number of people in the group! You don't have to worry about having leftover ingredients or making too much, which is a common problem in camping. You don't have to worry about that either. Everything is pre-cooked, so all you need is a few extra ingredients and seasonings!

The goodness of frozen food is also the difference in taste!

Because freshly prepared food is frozen instantaneously, the aroma and flavor are exceptional. You can enjoy fresh, delicious food that tastes as if it were prepared on the spot, even though it is instant food.

And the best part is the variety of authentic gourmet foods. A total of eight gorgeous lineups are available including Korean, Thai, Hawaiian, Russian, and more. You can easily enjoy gourmet foods from various countries. There are also cakes, pies, and other sweets in the lineup!

Using "Enjoy the World's Outdoor Meals with Frozen Food",
I tried to make dishes in camping!

This time, I tried making 3 of the 8 types, "gapao (hot sandwich)", "garlic shrimp" and "Taiwan ramen" while actually camping.

We will deliver everything from cooking points to gourmet reports!

And before that, let's thaw "gapao (hot sandwich ingredients)" and "garlic shrimp" with running water as a preparation. As you can see, there are some items that need to be thawed under running water, so be sure to check in advance!

Gapao (hot sandwich)

What to prepare (for 2 people): 4 slices of bread, 2 eggs, hot sandwich maker, gas stove

The first item to make is a hot sandwich of the classic Thai dish "Gapao".

Cooking rice when you are outdoors takes a lot of time and effort. The "Gapao" used this time is made for hot sandwiches, so there is no need to prepare cooked rice! All you need is bread, eggs (egg yolks), and a hot sandwich maker, and you are ready to go.

First, put 1/2 of the Gapao ingredients on top of the bread. Spread it all over the bread while making indentations for the eggs.

When the Gapao ingredients spread evenly, gently place the egg in the hollow! For eggs, the key is to use less egg whites. The leftover egg whites can be used for other dishes.

Put another slice of bread on top so that the eggs don't get crushed. We recommend 8 sliced bread.

Press it tightly with a hot sand maker and put it on the gas stove as it is.

Heat over low to medium heat for about 5 minutes. Turn it over occasionally to brown evenly. If the heat is too strong, it will burn quickly, so be careful!

When both sides are browned like this, it's ready in no time.

The beautifully browned, gapao and wheat aroma is very appetizing. Cutting it is also exciting and thrilling.

A soft-boiled egg is melty! Gapao is an ethnic flavor with sweet and spicy chicken and basil. If you mix a soft-boiled egg here, it will be mild and even more delicious! The compatibility with the bread is also perfect.

Hot sandwich makes it easier to eat, and it requires minimal use of plates and cutlery, so it's a recommended menu for camping mornings that tend to be slapstick.

Garlic shrimp

What to prepare: Broccoli (boiled), lemon, soy sauce, cooker (I used a skillet this time), gas stove

Next up is a Hawaiian dish called "Garlic Shrimp" that is packed with the umami of garlic and shrimp. It goes great with beer! This is a stylish dish that will add color to your camping snacks.

First, put the garlic shrimp in the cooker (using a skillet this time). The moment you open the bag, you can smell the fragrant garlic scent. It's appetizing!

Use a gas stove to cook over medium heat. Let's stir-fry until the color changes!

When the color changes nicely, broccoli appears here. I used frozen broccoli this time because it saves time. You can boil fresh broccoli on site, or you can bring boiled broccoli from home.

The addition of green makes it all the more colorful. It may be even tastier if you add your favorite vegetables to the dish!

After lightly sauteing the broccoli, add a dash of soy sauce to taste. The addition of soy sauce gives the dish a rich, robust flavor.

Finally, squeeze the lemon and you're done! Just stir fry and it's done in no time.

Serve the shrimp in the shell with plenty of garlic.

The garlic gives it a punch and it is very tasty! The lemon squeezed in at the end gives it a subtle aroma, and the aftertaste is refreshing and light. You can eat as much as you want. The broccoli is also soaked in the sauce, making it perfect! It is an addictive taste that makes you want to toast with beer.

Taiwan ramen

What to prepare: Vegetables (bean sprouts, chives, carrots), 1 egg, mestin, gas stove

Last but not least, noodles are the best way to end the day! Taiwan ramen is a cheap and delicious dish originating from Nagoya, which has its roots in Taiwan.

You can enjoy a hearty meal for lunch or a quick bite to finish off dinner! The hot and spicy soup will warm you up after a long day outside.

First, fill a mestin with 350 ml of water and bring it to a boil using a gas stove. Use a mestin with a capacity of at least 500 ml for one meal!

When it boils, put the bean sprouts here! Boil for about 1 minute.

Next, put the noodles into the mestin. The noodles are large as they are, so split them in half beforehand. Boil the noodles for about 2 minutes while loosening the noodles gently with chopsticks.

When the noodles have loosened up nicely, add the soup base and mix lightly so that it is spread throughout.

For the final touch, chives and eggs are added. For the vegetables used this time, in addition to the standard leek and bean sprouts, I also added shredded carrots. You can enjoy your own original ingredients by adding leftover vegetables and mushrooms.

Cover and steam for 2 minutes to complete. Mestin is hot, so be careful not to burn yourself!

The moment I opened the lid, I could smell the delicious aroma of chives and garlic! The eggs were off-center, but that's just part of the charm. A wild outdoor meal is ready to be served in a mess-tin.

The noodles are medium-thick noodles made of domestic wheat. They are well mixed with the tasty and spicy soup. The noodles are smooth, chewy, and very tasty! If you eat it with egg, it becomes richer and deeper.

Surprised to be able to eat authentic Taiwan ramen so far outdoors. You can enjoy a special taste that cannot be expressed with instant noodles. It's great to eat, so it's recommended not only for outdoor activities, but also for lunch at home.
