​Luxury Trailers Rikyu Ise opened in March 2022 in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, near Ise Jingu. It is a five-building glamping facility that was created within the Ise Kaguraba Resort Sen no Mori, a comprehensive lodging facility with a vast area of 64,000 tsubo.

All buildings are equipped with open-air baths, BBQ menus featuring fresh ingredients from Ise, and hot springs to enjoy in the large public baths. Rooms which pets are allowed are also available!

This time I actually stayed at "Luxury Trailers Rikyu Ise". I would like to report with plenty of photos.

About 2 hours by car from Nagoya city. A free shuttle bus operates from Ujiyamada Station, Naiku, and Geku. (reservation required)

Accommodation Report

First, check in at the main building "Sen no Mori"!

Free rental of colorful yukata is available! It is surprising that you can wear a yukata during glamping.

A one-minute drive from the main building brings you to the glamping area!

A very spacious space. There is quite a bit of space between guest rooms. There is also a trailer where you can stay with your dog.

This time we stayed in this trailer!

A spacious 20m2 wooden deck is also available! It is also roofed, so it is safe even on rainy days.

The wooden deck is equipped with a BBQ gas grill. Guests of the overnight stay with no meal plan are welcome to bring in their own food, so you can enjoy BBQ with your favorite ingredients! (*Because firearms are not allowed to be brought in, please rent a BBQ gas grill (3,850 yen) as an option.)

Wow! There is also an open-air bath made of Shigaraki pottery on the wooden deck. It is a luxury to enjoy a private open-air bath under the sky.

From December 2022 to February 2023, you can also enjoy hot springs in the open-air bath only in winter!

Finally, let's go to the room you are interested in! The key is a touch panel type.

Is this really the inside of a trailer? You can't help but be surprised at how comfortable the space is. The rooms have a Japanese modern taste with white as the base color.

There are two beds. There is even a small tatami space. (If there are more than 3 people, a futon can be laid out on the tatami space and up to 4 people can stay.)

Not to mention washroom space, refrigerator and microwave. Amenities, kettle, gas stove, insect repellant spray, etc., are all there for your convenience.

There was also this surprise in the refrigerator! It contained beer from Ise Kadoya and Ise's limited edition craft chuhai. Too good for those who love to drink, hospitality.

Of course, it is also air-conditioned!

People who are new to glamping and people with children can spend a comfortable time.

Introduction to Japanese meal and BBQ

The attraction of "Luxury Trailers Rikyu Ise" is the BBQ where you can enjoy fresh ingredients from Ise-Shima!

A lot of gorgeous ingredients that will make you sigh unintentionally. Everything looks delicious! ! !

You can also enjoy Ise lobsters and Matsuzaka beef, both of which are typical of Mie Prefecture. The Ise lobsters, in particular, are the best Ise lobster I have ever eaten, and I am not exaggerating when I say that they are so plump!

Ise's unique seafood, such as giant clams and noble scallops, are also available. The noble scallops, also known as "appa-gai" in Mie Prefecture, is smaller than a scallop, but has a rich flavor that is irresistible.

"Domestic Beef Offal and Cabbage Nabeyaki" is perfect with sake!

Grill it on a BBQ gas grill and enjoy!

This step of grilling by yourself is the best part of BBQ.

This is Tekone Sushi, a local dish from Mie Prefecture. Plenty of soy-pickled bonito!

Local fish sashimi is also available. I am grateful to be able to have such a refreshing dish with BBQ.

The meal ends with "abalone and seafood oshiki soup"!

It was a dream come true to be able to enjoy the luxurious ingredients of Ise-Shima on the BBQ. It was a blissful moment when we cooked the food ourselves and ate it outside. It was a different kind of BBQ than we usually enjoy.

This time we had the Japanese-style meal, but there is also a Western-style meal that includes ahi jio, aqua pazza, pasta, and more.

Hot spring glamping

After dinner, you can enjoy a natural hot spring in the large baths of the main building "Ise Kaguraba Resort Sen no Mori"! Enjoying hot springs is one of the attractions of Luxury Trailers Ise Rikyu Ise.

The source of the hot spring, Niimisato Onsen 《Chouju no Yu》, is said to have a high alkalinity that makes the skin smooth and beautiful. I was healed by the smooth hot water. You can also enjoy a sauna in the indoor bath!

Breakfast where you can enjoy the ingredients of Ise-Shima

Breakfast is also very luxurious! You can have it delivered to your table on the wooden deck.

This is a healthy Japanese breakfast using seasonal foods from Ise-Shima, including Ise udon, a local dish that entertained travelers on their Ise pilgrimage. The previous night's BBQ had been a hearty meal, so the Japanese food was very filling.

The most recommended dish is "takikomi-gohan (rice cooked with sea bream). The tasty flavor of sea bream is concentrated in this freshly cooked dish. The charred rice is also irresistible!

Check-out time was 11:00 a.m., so we were able to relax after breakfast.
