" Shimin Shiki no Mori" is a comprehensive park located in the eastern suburbs of Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture. Boasting a total area of approximately 28 hectares, this vast site is equipped with a variety of facilities.
In this issue, we are introducing the attractiveness of Shimin Shiki no Mori, where families can enjoy plenty of nature all day long, such as "Sorisuberi Hill" that children love, "Wanpaku Bouken Square" with playground equipment, "Barbecue facilities" and "Park Golf" that parents and children can enjoy.
Very popular with children!
Fully equipped facilities where you can play to your heart's content for free
Enjoy the feeling of speed! "Sorisuberi Hill"
If you visit Shiki no Mori, the first place you should go is “Sorisuberi (sleighing) Hill”!
You can rent a sled and helmet, and slide down a slope made of artificial turf in one fell swoop. They will teach you how to slide safely. It's a long distance, and we are very happy that we can enjoy such a full-fledged sledding for free!
Children are addicted to the sense of speed and thrill. Elementary school students can slide alone, and from 2-year-olds can slide with an adult, so it is also recommended for families with small children.
"Wanpaku Bouken Square" where you can move your body and play with lots of playground equipment
The Wanpaku Bouken (adventure) Square, which has a lot of playground equipment, is a location where you can see the sky and the mountains. Once you step inside, you are in a fairyland.
Pretty playground equipment such as the "tube slide" and "swaying mushrooms" are popular with small children.
There is also playground equipment where you can enjoy athletics, such as the "Mura (village) no Symbol Tree" which is also an observatory equipped with a Tarzan rope, and the "Mori no Sanpo Michi (Forest Walkway)" where you can use rope nets and overhead ladders. Big brothers and sisters who want to jump around can also have a lot of fun to the fullest.
Children can't stop being excited. After eating lunch under the large leaves of the artificial turf area, it looks like they will be running around again. There are benches here and there, so you can watch over them and it's safe.
Let's go meet the animals! "Little Animal Village"
From the east parking lot, you can see "Chibikko Dobutsu Mura" (children's animal village) after passing "Sorisuberi Hill" and "Wanpaku Bouken Square". If you're looking for Animal Village, the north parking lot is recommended as it's close.
Nagoya Cochin, which originated in Komaki City, is also bred. Normally, you can interact with rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, etc., but as of July 2021, entry to the animal village and petting experiences have been suspended to prevent the spread of infectious diseases to animals.
