Toyota City Traffic Safety Learning Center: Learn the Importance of Traffic Safety!

"Toyota City Traffic Safety Learning Center" is a place where you can learn while experiencing the causes of traffic accidents and safe traffic behavior. It was born in 2010 after the relocation of Toyota City Traffic Park, which was in the city.

In addition to mini SL and go-carts, there are also playground equipment for children on the premises.

*Information is current at the time of the interview.
Please check the latest information of each facility and store.

What is Toyota City Traffic Safety Learning Center?

The site covers approximately 25,000 ㎡ and has a traffic safety study center and three outdoor zones: the town area, the playground area, and the amusement area.

・Town area
A realistic cityscape has been reproduced, such as traffic lights, railroad crossings, and convenience store-like buildings that can be used as rest areas.

・Amusement area
There are mini SL and go-carts that you can ride for 50 yen, and interesting bicycles that you can enjoy for free.

・Traffic Safety Learning Center
There are also plenty of indoor experiences that you can enjoy, such as a simulator where you can experience the tragedy of a traffic accident, a virtual stage where you can learn about the dangers that lurk around you with 3D images, and a theater where you can learn with images and quizzes.

A free parking lot is right in front of the entrance, so it is convenient for families with strollers and other luggage.

Let's Learn with Family! "Traffic Safety Learning Center"

The “Traffic Safety Learning Center” is located right after entering the site. You can learn the correct traffic rules and have fun learning about traffic safety through various experiences.

On the first floor, there is a reception, a shop, a kids' space, and a classroom where classes are held for children who attend kindergartens and elementary schools in Toyota City. On the 2nd floor, there is a theater and a virtual stage where you can learn about traffic safety while answering hands-on learning corners and quizzes.

First, let's check the status of each event, the starting time, the business hours of the rides, etc. at the reception.

The shop sells drinks, light meals, key chains of the character "Himawari-chan (sunflower-chan)" of Toyota City Traffic Safety Learning Center and traffic safety goods.

The rest space where you can eat and drink is bright and open. Luggage lockers are also installed.

There is a kids' space where even small children can play safely.

Under the stairs in the center, there is a booth where you can create a traffic safety quiz rally license card (200 yen). You can also try it for free.

A profile photo is also taken on the spot, and it will be completed soon. A license card that looks like a real driver's license with your name on it is popular with children.

Hold the quiz over the five green terminals in the facility. If you clear the stage, it will become a gold license card. Parents and children can think together and reconfirm their knowledge.

On the 2nd floor, you can learn through experiences such as "Let's check your traffic safety ability", "experience simulation", "truth about traffic accidents", "virtual stage", and "traffic safety check" to reduce traffic accidents.

First, let's measure your physical functions such as eyesight, hearing, and physical strength.

Situational judgment is a game-like judgment check. You can see how accurately you reacted to the displayed signs and signs.

I would like to use my body to check my ability to make quick decisions in an emergency and my athletic ability, and to learn more about myself so that I can prevent accidents.

An animation that thinks about "what if..." from various situations and positions so that sad things do not happen. It was a story that could happen to anyone, and I felt strongly that I wanted to convey to people closer to me what I always want to be careful about.

A quiz to answer in each situation, such as the parties to the accident and witnesses. You can have a simulated experience of whether you can make a calm and correct decision in the face of an accident.

A road crossing simulator that reproduces a CG road on three screens and allows you to experience the dangers of crossing the road as if you were actually crossing it.

Select the time of day, weather, etc., and measure the number of safety checks. You can check the replay video and learn how to cross safely.

A video using a dummy doll projected on the screen conveys the impact of an accident and the importance of fastening your seatbelt.

"Hiyari (feel a chill) Town" is a quiz format that considers the scene of a traffic accident. You can have multiple experiences surrounded by 360 degrees, so you can participate with your family and friends.

A “virtual stage” with plenty of realism of images projected on the wall and floor. By realistically reproducing in 3D the difference between what a pedestrian sees and what a driver sees, you can learn about the dangers that lurk around you.

There is also a "theater" where you can learn about traffic safety while watching a large 340-inch wide screen. A button is installed on each seat and you can answer the quiz by pressing it quickly. Everyone can participate, so it seems that the final ranking announcement will be particularly exciting.

"Kiken! Anzen! Hakken Town (Discovering the dangers and safeties)" is popular among children. Let's find out the dangers hidden in the city displayed on the screen at hand.

Underneath the diorama is a tunnel, and if you look inside, you will see a small town in front of you. You will lose track of time just by looking at the Tomica miniature cars and large dioramas made from Plarail.

When you look through the small window and press the button, the light turns on, and you can experience the importance of night visibility and reflective materials.

Road signs that you should know along with traffic rules. Parents and children should check the marks and their meanings to prevent traffic accidents for children.

"Children's Plaza" was set up for the purpose of learning traffic safety awareness from the driver's perspective. It is popular, so please ask the staff when using it. They will carefully teach you how to use it.

The swing car moves forward by putting your feet on it and moving the steering wheel left and right. Feel like a driver and follow the traffic rules and traffic lights.

You can eat and drink on the spacious wooden deck on the roof, so you can enjoy lunch and snacks under the blue sky like a picnic.

Not only can you overlook the facilities, but you can also enjoy the surrounding scenery, which is so rich in nature that you can even hear the chirping of birds.

Amusement Area which is Popular for Mini SL and Go-carts

Tickets are required only for the mini SL and go-karts, so let's purchase them at the ticket vending machine.

The mini SL and go-cart platform are in the same place. The mini SL platform is on the left, and the go-kart platform is on the right.

Go-cart is 50 yen per person. Children in the third grade of elementary school and younger must be accompanied by a guardian when driving.

The popular mini SL that even small children can ride is 50 yen per lap, and children under the age of 3 are free. (Children under school age must be accompanied by a guardian (for a fee).)

When I heard the sound of the railroad crossing closing, small children ran up to me and waved to me.

Interesting bicycles that you can play for free, you can ride various kinds of bicycles for 15 minutes once. Share with your friends and play. (Children under school age must be accompanied by a guardian.)

A dolphin bicycle that two people can ride together. When you drive it, it's cute that it moves up and down like two dolphins swimming side by side.

There are many other unique bicycles, such as a ladybug bicycle that turns the pedals by hand, and a panda-shaped bicycle.

I liked the banana bicycle and kept riding it for 15 minutes.

Leisurely bicycle recommended for families (free). There are also child seat and bench seat types, so it's nice that the whole family can ride with small children. Bicycles for children and bicycles for adults can be rented at the same place.

It runs on a dedicated urban zone course with traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, so parents and children can check the traffic rules when riding a bicycle.

* Fun bicycles, Leisurely bicycles, and ordinary bicycles cannot be used from July 1st to September 30th to prevent heatstroke.

Traffic Lights, Houses, Convenience Stores...
The Town Area that Looks like a Real City

In the Town Area, you can enjoy learning about traffic rules on foot or by bicycle.

Dangerous points such as nearby intersections with poor visibility are also realistically reproduced. Check left and right before crossing.

A study hall used for seminars.

The building, which looks like a convenience store, is a rest area with air conditioning. There is a step stool so that even small children can wash their hands easily.

A viewing stand is available for lunch and snacks. If you are using it in a seminar, students have priority.

There are Plenty of Playground Equipment!
Playground Area

In the open space zone, there are plenty of playground equipment that children can enjoy to their heart's content. Children who love vehicles are sure to be delighted. There are traffic lights and pedestrian crossings to move from playground equipment to playground equipment, so it seems that the traffic rules you learned can be used.

A playground equipment with a rocket-shaped slide.

"Fireman" with a fire engine motif.

All the playground equipment is full of tricks that children will enjoy, so you can enjoy it without getting bored.

At Toyota City Traffic Safety Learning Center, where you can enjoy learning about traffic safety, the staff kindly watch over you so that you can learn traffic rules while having fun.

Towards the realization of a traffic society in which children, the elderly, drivers, pedestrians, and even cyclists are in harmony, we are working hard to create opportunities for each and every one of us to be aware of traffic safety.

Why don't you all go out with your family once?
