"Yamaha Music Nagoya Store" will reopen on April 24, 2021 as an experience-based brand shop.

In addition to remodeling the 1st and 2nd floors of the store portion that had been operating on the 1st through 4th floors, the 6th and 7th floors will be newly expanded, bringing the total store space from the previous four floors to six floors. In addition, a brand experience floor with a café space has been newly established. In addition to the sale of musical instruments, the store will serve as a center for the Yamaha brand, offering a wide range of users the opportunity to enjoy music and musical instruments.

The location is about a 5-minute walk from Fushimi Station on the Municipal Subway. It consists of 8 floors.

2nd floor: guitar, drums, synthesizer, music composing

The second floor is the floor for guitars, drums, synthesizers, and music production.

They have the largest lineup of Yamaha brand guitars in Japan. Drums, synthesizers, and stage pianos are also on display.

There is also a space on the floor where you can try out the guitar!

An acoustic drum test room with excellent soundproof performance has also been newly established.

I decided to try the drums. By actually experiencing it, you will be more interested in musical instruments. Drums are said to be a popular instrument even in music classes, as they are said to "release stress"!

There is also a corner for music composition, which has been growing in popularity in recent years.

A demo system that combines music production equipment and software is on display. You can experience the process of making music. I was surprised that such complicated music could be created on a computer!

3rd floor: Piano, electronic piano, keyboard, soundproof room (Avitex)

On the 3rd floor, about 50 keyboard products are displayed, including pianos, electones, clavinovas, electronic pianos, and keyboards. Feel free to try popular interior pianos and popular hybrid pianos.

Demand for keyboards, in particular, is soaring as people spend more time at home, with some products waiting two to three months.

4th Floor: Yamaha Grand Piano Salon Nagoya

The 4th floor is "Yamaha Grand Piano Salon Nagoya". Yamaha and Bösendorfer grand piano showroom.

As a showroom that satisfies everyone from piano instructors to performers familiar with grand pianos, the exhibits are maintained by Yamaha's concert tuners.

5th floor: Music classroom "Music Avenue Fushimi"

On the 5th floor is the music school "Music Avenue Fushimi", which has a long history in Nagoya. Various lesson courses are available for children from 1 year old to adults.

On the 6th floor, the collection of sheet music has been expanded due to the relocation to the new floor. The number of books in stock exceeds 30,000, including both Japanese and foreign books, making it one of the largest selections in the Tokai region.

In addition, about 4,000 items such as staff paper, music miscellaneous goods, and lesson goods are available.

The point is that not only sheet music but also music-related books and magazines are substantial!

Chairs are also set up on the floor, so you can choose your score at your leisure.

New audio room

In the newly introduced audio room, you can also experience the Yamaha HiFi audio flagship model, such as a speaker system with a piano finish. Up to 45 minutes can be used per group. (Reservation required)

7th floor: Wind instruments, string instruments, percussion instruments, wind instrument repair corner

The 7th floor is for wind, string and percussion instruments.

The sales floor area has expanded by about 25% compared to the past, and about 150 products are handled, making it one of the largest Yamaha brand wind instruments in the Tokai region.

The latest models and popular products are displayed in an open display style where you can directly touch them. There are not many opportunities to see musical instruments so close.

Like the first floor, there is also a corner where you can experience it!

There is also a repair corner for wind instruments.

At the back of the floor, there are also three trial rooms.

8th Floor: Yamaha Nagoya Hall

The 8th floor is "Yamaha Nagoya Hall". The ceiling is designed to be curved so that the acoustic effects are excellent and the original sound of the musical instruments reaches all the audience in a well-balanced manner.
