Work introduction
This time, we will introduce some of the 24 works on display, with Ms. Ishimatsu explaining them to us.
Ishimatsu: "This work depicts the moment of falling in love. When I imagined what it would be like to fall in love, I wondered if it would be the moment when the tangled headphone cord would be untied. Her eyes are empty, and the soft-serve ice cream she's holding is about to melt away. A bug passes in front of her, and the wind blows."
Ishimatsu: "This work depicts the misery of being an angel but having her body played with by humans. A plastic bottle is put on her head, and her wings are touched with cigarettes. It is an ordinary human playing with the angel, but it is also a picture that deifies the male as a god.”
Ishimatsu: "It's a series about not letting them get away with it. We've trapped little girls in soy sauce jugs, plastic bottles, and contact lens cases."
Ishimatsu: “One of my favorite pieces in the current exhibition is the one I painted on the subject of a love hotel. I had the idea for a long time, but I was finally able to sublimate the image of a love hotel in my mind. People cannot fly in the sky, though they want to fly like birds. A boy and a girl wish to fly in the sky. I expressed this in the subject matter of a love hotel, a place where fantasy and reality intersect."
In addition, there are girls who are used as ingredients for bento, and girls who are big enough to hug the Great Buddha. A girl who is a good adult but gets kidnapped is sad, but also lovely and humorous. Ishimatsu's works question the diversity of beauty through the strong theme of "Fubijin-ga", and at the same time, they have a unique cuteness and poisonousness that draws you into the world the more you look at them. .
Ms. Ishimatsu says that she draws beautiful women as soon as she relaxes. She's also interested in book bindings in the future. We can't take our eyes off her future activities.
Thank you Ms. Ishimatsu!
