Flower Park Konan is one of the bases of Japan's largest national park, Kiso Sansen Park, located along the Kiso River in Konan City City, Aichi Prefecture. This is a park where you can enjoy flowers and seasonal plants. Admission is free. You can enjoy about 1,000 types of flowers in the park. Events and workshops are also held every season, making it the perfect spot for families to go out with their children.
This time, we would like to report on the inside of Flower Park Konan!
The park is centered on a lawn square of approximately 25,000 square meters, and you can go around the park.
This time, we actually visited Flower Park Konan. We will pick up and introduce recommended spots, starting from the east side where the east exit parking lot and management building are located!
The main flower bed and water basin welcome you
At the entrance, you will be greeted by the main flower bed and water pond. The main spot of Flower Park Konan! Many people were taking pictures with cameras in one hand.
This is the main flowerbed. Tulips and muscari in spring, coleus and salvia in summer and autumn, and pansies and violas in winter. No matter when you visit year-round, you can enjoy seasonal flowers.
Mist comes out every 30 minutes from around the adjacent water pond. We were able to witness the moment when the mist came out! The combination of flowers and mist is really fantastic.
Citizens' flower beds "Shimin Kadan" created by citizens together
To the right of the entrance is the "Shimin Kadan". It is also the activity place of the volunteer group, Flower Park Konan Friends of the Park, where citizens can participate in planting and designing flower beds. Even if you do not have a garden at home, it is nice to have such a place to enjoy plants.
Let me introduce you to a hidden spot in the Shimin Kadan.
That is the rest area "Citizen's House". Green curtains appear in the summer, allowing you to cool down. There is also a roof, so it is recommended as a rest spot for small children!
