Food-related craftsmanship by twin brothers
First of all, I asked about the reason for opening and the origin of the name.
Takeuchi: “I work as a product designer in metal engraving, and my brother is an Italian chef.
Under such circumstances, we are both craftsmen, so "Gemellivo" was born with the concept of manufacturing things related to food. ”
Product with functionality and playfulness
All of Mr Takeuchi's products are user-friendly and playful. It's all about the things that make you feel warm when you pick it up.
Takeuchi: "The origin of Gemellibo is a coined word taken from the Italian word 'gemelli', meaning twins.
While making use of each strength, we are making things related to food. For example, the jam was invented by my younger brother, but I design products such as cutlery and tableware. It is often purchased as a set as a gift.
In the future, we plan to increase the number of aprons and kitchen items. ”
A chunky white porcelain sauce spoon. It's simple, but it's very stylish just by placing it. The head part is slightly angled, making it easy to scoop from small plates and bottles.
What impressed me the most was the original Gemellivo jam spoon. You can scoop the sauce and hook it on the bottle as it is.
It's shaped like a knife and a spoon combined, and the tip is made to follow the jar, so you can scoop up jam left at the bottom of the jar without leaving any residue. Also, once you scoop it up, you can use the spatula to spread it on the bread.
It also looks cute, so just hooking it on a jar will make you feel a little bit excited.
Baked sweets that are a little more mature and go well with evening drinks.
Ms Hayakawa, the patissier and store manager, creates delicious baked goods at Gemellivo. I also asked her about her commitment to baked sweets and bread.
Hayakawa: “Gemellivo’s baked sweets are based on the concept of baked sweets for adults who love to eat. We make baked sweets that go well with alcoholic beverages.
The sablet is small in size, making it easy to purchase as a souvenir. We also have seasonal products, and at this time of year, we recommend the apple pie made with red apple.
It seems that the original items and menu will gradually increase in the future, so please check it out regularly. I am very much looking forward to it.
Thank you Mr Takeuchi and Ms Hayakawa!
