Seirei Market

After the Oku-mikawa Folk Museum, let's go to the Regional Industry Promotion Facility.

On the first floor, there is the Seirei Market, where you can find special products from Shitara-cho, and the Seirei Shokudo, where you can eat dishes that can only be eaten here, using plenty of local ingredients. The food ingredients carefully selected by Tsuguya Co., Ltd., the operator of the market, are available here.

From here, we will introduce local specialty products.

Most popular! "Junmai raw sake unfiltered Shitara"

“Junmai raw sake unfiltered Shitara” from the local sake brewery “Sekiya Brewery Co., Ltd.” It is a precious sake that can only be purchased here. It is a popular item that is limited in quantity and sells out quickly every time it arrives.

Miracle tomato! "Renaissance Tomato"

"Renaissance Tomato" is also recommended as a souvenir. Known as the "Miracle tomato", it is produced only in Shitara Town. Characterized by its pointed heart shape, this tomato has a good balance of acidity and sweetness.

Very popular local rice! "Kenchan Rice"

Check out the rice produced in Shitara town, which is famous for its delicious taste. We recommend the mini-sized rice that you can easily take home with you.

Gibier & freshwater fish grown in the fields and rivers of Shitara

Ingredients unique to Shitara Town, which is rich in nature, are also recommended, such as venison, wild boar meat, and river fish. Processed products such as sausages and jerky using venison are popular.

In addition, the freshwater salmon "Kinuhime Salmon" is a specialty product that can only be tasted here.

Seirei Shokudo

When you come to Michi no Eki Shitara, be sure to stop by Seirei Shokudo (cafeteria).

At the cafeteria, visitors can enjoy local specialties such as "Mori no Megumi Maze Soba (soupless noddle)" served with Shitara venison and "Kinuhime Salmon Set Meal" which features deep-fried Kinuhime salmon and sashimi at the same time.

Kinuhime salmon set meal 1,200 yen (tax included)

"Kinuhime salmon set meal" comes with fried Kinuhime salmon, sashimi of Kinuhime salmon, rice, miso soup, and a small bowl.
The fries are very thick! The sashimi does not have the peculiar smell of salmon, and it has just the right amount of fat. The quantity is limited, so try them when you find it!

Special Tori Soba 950 yen (tax included)

A popular menu that will definitely fill you up, "Special Tori Soba (chicken ramen)". It is a cup of commitment that won on the royal road. Ramen lovers will definitely love this ramen.

Gohei-mochi no Tsuguya

You can't go wrong with Gohei-mochi (grilled rice on a woodstick), a Mikawa specialty.

The sauce is based on soy sauce and miso, with plenty of sesame and walnuts. Grilling over charcoal gives it a nice aroma.

Of course you can eat it on the spot. You can also take home too.

3 walnut sauce gohei-mochi (vacuum packed)

There is also a vacuum pack that is perfect as a souvenir.

Irresistible for Japanese sake lovers!
“Sake making experience” at Horaisen Sake Lab

On the 2nd floor, there is also the “Horaisen Sake Lab” where you can experience making sake!

It is a small-scale sake brewing experience facility that requires reservations, and holds sake brewing classes, Amazake classes, and workshops.

Using locally grown rice, the rice is actually washed, steamed and prepared. Furthermore, by experiencing sake squeezing, you can experience the fun and difficulty of sake brewing.

* Reservations can be made from the official website of Sekiya Brewery "Event Reservation".

Perfect for family with small kids!

It is fully equipped with facilities that are great for moms and dads with babies, such as a nursing room, diaper-changing sheets, and a kids' space.

On the 1st floor, there is a kids' space where children can play while shopping.

There is also a family restroom that can be used with small children.

There are two nursing rooms.

Every detail has been taken into consideration so that anyone can have a comfortable stay, so you can go out with peace of mind.
