"Nagoya Minato Tsutaya Bookstore"

The first place to introduce is "Nagoya Minato Tsutaya Bookstore", which opened in September 2018 in "LaLaport Nagoya Minato AQULS" in Minato Ward, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

Tsutaya opened the "Daikanyama Tsutaya" in Tokyo in 2011, and since then, Tsutaya has opened a series of stores throughout Japan. As a "bookstore that proposes lifestyles" rather than just a bookstore, the store sells and exhibits lifestyle goods related to books in addition to books. It is not a store where you go to buy books, but a place where you can enjoy encounters with books.

"Outing" corner. They are categorized according to how they are enjoyed, such as "Let's go to the sea," "Travel in the sky," and "Exploring art."

"Car section". We handle 10,000 automobile-related books, one of the largest in Japan, including valuable old books and catalogs for each model. This corner is unique to Nagoya, where car culture has developed.

In the children's book corner, where 10,000 titles, mainly picture books, are available, there is a kids' space where children can enjoy reading books.

"Tsutaya Bookstore" has a different concept for each store. "Nagoya Minato Tsutaya Bookstore" is based on the theme of "WITH FAMILY" and has three genres of "outing", "childcare" and "car", and proposes time to enjoy with family.

Inside "Nagoya Minato Tsutaya" there are 12 specialty stores, including a cafe, restaurants, sundries and children's clothing, and two pop-up stores. Like the books, the selections are based on the theme of family.

Although it was a weekday when we visited, a wide range of people were enjoying encountering books, from families with children to premier-aged people (baby boomers). The store has everything from cafes to restaurants where you can enjoy a meal or a drink, so you can spend a whole day from morning to night in a relaxed atmosphere.

"Kusamura BOOKS Shinmoriyama"

Just like the Tsutaya Bookstore introduced earlier, CCC's new bookstore brand, Kusamura BOOKS, opened in February 2017 on the second floor of the Apita Shinmoriyama store in Moriyama Ward. Compared to Tsutaya Bookstore, it is a bookstore that is easier for local people to get close to.

The store has one of the largest selections of new and used books in the area, with over 500,000 titles! With a wide variety of events held each month, the store has become a hot topic of conversation as an enlivening presence in the community.

"TSUTAYA", which sells rental DVDs, CDs, and comics, is also included.

The restaurant section is also substantial. Additive-free ohagi "OHAGI3", teppanyaki meat dishes and rice bowls "Nikudokoro Zero Hachi", pizza baked in a Neapolitan oven "zero otto", and more for meals and snacks.
