This time, we would like to introduce a shop specializing in sweet potato sweets in Osu.

imomi Osu branch

"imomi" is a sweet potato sweets specialty store located along Banshoji street in Osu Shopping Arcade.

This is a cafe that serves sweets and drinks made with sweet sweet potato "Satsuma Mirai".

You can also eat and drink inside the store.

Daigakuimo S size ￥400

There are two types of cold Daigakuimo (candied sweet potato): S size and M size. The crispy outside of Daigakuimo is bite-sized and perfect for eating while walking!

"imomi" is a recommended product named after the store.

Underneath the fresh sweet potato cream topped with honey-soaked sweet potatoes is a fluffy chiffon cake. There is a cream cheese cream filling in the middle.

Standard cross section

This is the standard "Beni Haruka", which was just in season. Fresh sweet potatoes have a short maturing period, so they are baked to a fluffy texture. You can only eat it now, so why not try it if you can find it?

premium

This is "Beni Haruka" premium. Premium one was aged sweet potato. Aged sweet potatoes have a creamy texture. The standard version was sweet and delicious, but the premium version was even sweeter, but not too sweet, so I recommend the premium version.

Recolte Osu

This is a shop located on Osu Higashi Niomon Street where you can eat carefully selected sweet potatoes that are directly managed by farmers.

In addition to sweet potatoes, they also sell braised pork gohei mochi (grilled sticky rice in sauce) made with ingredients from Nakatsugawa.

Sweet potato x charcoal mix soft serve ice cream (cup) ¥600

This time I purchased "Sweet potato and charcoal mix soft serve".

You can choose between two types of soft serve ice cream: cup or waffle cone.

Charcoal is actually a bitter chocolate soft serve ice cream containing activated charcoal. Activated charcoal is also good for dieting... The combination of sweet potato and charcoal makes this a guilt-free sweet!

There is plenty of mashed sweet potato under the soft serve ice cream, making it very satisfying.

Kogumaya

"Kogumaya" is located just outside exit 12 of Kamimaezu Station. The entrance will be the same as Logic Magic, which repairs smartphones. There is also a signboard with the menu outside the building.

Koguma Sunday ￥650

A sundae topped with a large chip made from sweet potatoes fried using Kogumaya's secret recipe. There are lots of crushed sweet potato chips under the soft serve ice cream.

In addition to sweet potato chips, it is also topped with baked sweet potatoes and biscuits, making it a sweets that allows you to enjoy a variety of sweet potatoes.

Koguma flower ￥500

This is the to-go version of Koguma Flower.

These are the sweet potato chips that were topping on the sundae earlier. Thick sweet potato chips made using only the best parts of sweet potatoes. Eat the chips sprinkled with salt and drizzled with brown sugar syrup. Sweet and salty chips are addictive.

Roasted sweet potato specialty store Imocho Osu main store

"Imocho" was started by the owner who was impressed by the taste of the famous roasted sweet potato shop "Imoyasu" and became his apprentice.

You can enjoy baked sweet potatoes made with seasonal sweet potatoes and desserts made with baked potatoes.

Baked sweet potato brûlée ¥500

At first glance, "Yaki-imo (roasted sweet potato) Brûlée" looks like a regular roasted sweet potato. When you crack open the crispy coating, you'll find a rich cream inside. This cream is said to be made using the rare honey that comes out from roasted sweet potatoes when they are cooled.

The roasted sweet potato at the base is sweet and the sticky texture is sure to make you addicted.

Grilled sweet potato sandwich ￥650

A hearty dish with a roasted sweet potato sandwiched between bread. There are two types of potatoes: "Beni Haruka" and the limited quantity "Fukumurasaki". The "Purple Sweet Potato Sandwich" is said to be extremely rare, so if you see it, why not buy it?

The special fresh cream that is sandwiched with the sweet potatoes is not too sweet and brings out the sweetness of the sweet potatoes. Also recommended as a souvenir.
