[Tokyo] OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka, a Casual Hotel Operated by Hoshino Resorts

OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka is a casual hotel managed by Hoshino Resorts. In 2018, it started development as the fourth hotel brand following HOSHINOYA, RISONARE, and KAI.

The concept is "an urban sightseeing hotel that does not stop at just sleeping, but raises the excitement of travel". Like a business hotel, it is not just a place to sleep, but a high-quality hotel that makes visitors feel excited while communicating the charm of the area.

In this issue, we will report on all the charms of OMO5.

Otsuka, a town with a downtown atmosphere

Otsuka

When you get off at Otsuka Station, you will find a cute map of the area around Otsuka Station.

OMO5

"OMO5 Tokyo Otsuka" is located between Ikebukuro and Sugamo, right next to Otsuka Station where the Yamanote Line and Toden cross. It is in a good location, about a 1-minute walk from Otsuka Station (North Exit).

Although it is a small station on the Yamanote Line, it is one stop away from Ikebukuro, making it convenient in terms of transportation, and there are many stores in front of the station.

Tokyo has many stations, so it often takes a long time to reach the ground even after arriving at the station. On the other hand, Otsuka Station, where OMO5 is located, is a small station, so it's easy to get to ground level.

Especially when visiting from afar, pulling a carry-on, it is a very nice point to be close to the station and easy to move around.

As soon as you enter inside, there is a shooting spot!

OMO5

The building where OMO5 is located has a stylish cafe "Eight Days Cafe" on the 1st floor, and the hotel area is on the 4th to 13th floors.

The front desk is on the 4th floor, so take the elevator up.

The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived at the 4th floor was the large map on the wall. Here, the staff recommends nearby restaurants and entertainment spots.

Don't stop at just sleeping! The Neighborhood Guide OMO Ranger.

OMO5

OMO5 offers neighborhood activities from time to time as part of its hospitality. That is the "Neighborhood Guide OMO Ranger".

There are five different courses, ranging from free to paid courses, and they take you to the deepest Otsuka, which is not listed in the guidebooks!

For example, in the free course, "OMO Ranger Green" will guide you around the town. In the paid course, he will introduce you to Otsuka's classic gourmet foods and back alley deep gourmet foods while guiding you around. If you have time, please try it!

Playful interior design

The interior is just as cute, which is one of the charms of the OMO5.

The entrance area is decorated with the hanging strap, get-off button, and stop sign of the Arakawa Line, a symbol of the city. Looking out the window, you will feel as if you are riding the streetcar.

OMO5

The books are well organized and divided into categories.

OMO5

This shelf is labeled "SAKE," so books on sake were lined up. In addition, there were guidebooks and books on the history of Toshima Ward that would be helpful for a trip to Tokyo.

OMO56

Public space in front of the front desk. The space where you can feel the warmth of wood has large windows and a sense of openness.

Alcoholic beverages is also sold in the sales area, so relaxing and chatting here is recommended.

OMO5

OMO5 has introduced a self check-in system to ensure a smooth check-in process. After check-in, you will receive a receipt with your card key and room number.

OMO5

In front of the elevator that goes up to the guest rooms, there is a section where you can rent hotel clothes (200 yen). Sizes range from SS to L.
