First, I would like to introduce about the Tsurumai area.

Tsurumai Park is located right next to Tsurumai Station. Opened in 1909, it is the oldest park in Nagoya. The original zoo was moved to Higashiyama in 1937. It is recommended to enjoy snacks and coffee while admiring the seasonal flowers.

In the Tsurumai area between Tsuruma Park, Kamimaezu and Higashibetsuin, cafes, bakeries, curry shops, lifestyle shops, and other shops with special attention to detail are opening one after another.

One of the attractions of Kissa Kurokawa is the historic building that was designed in the 1960s. You can feel the vestiges of that time everywhere, such as steel beams and concrete block walls.

"Curry Miyoshi"

About 5 minutes on foot from Tsurumai Station. "Curry Miyoshi" opened at the end of December 2018. This is a popular spice curry restaurant with long lines forming in front of the restaurant every day around noon.

The interior of the shop, which has a brick-like feel and the warmth of wood, was entirely designed by the owner, Mr. Miyoshi. There are plenty of counter seats and table seats, so everyone from singles to families can come in without hesitation. Strollers are also OK.

2 types of Aigake curry 1,200 yen (+boiled egg pickled in spices 150 yen)

The most popular is the “Two types of Aigake (1,200 yen)” curry. Topped with "boiled egg spice pickles" soaked in original spice liquid. Cheese can also be topped for 200 yen!

This is the creamy "Coconut Milk Chicken Curry" (900 yen for single item), which uses plenty of coconut milk. It contains plenty of spices, but it is mild and very delicious with little spiciness.

The other is "Chicken Keema Bean Curry" (900 yen for single item), which contains plenty of beans with cloves and cardamom. The burdock is in it, and the texture and mouthwatering aroma is irresistible. Both are the best.
