Hello. I'm Kanae, a photographer.
This time, I took a walk through Tsurumai Park in the middle of spring with a compact film camera called "ESPIO160" in hand!

The ESPIO160 is a cute camera that looks like a toy from PENTAX.
The flash part of mine is broken, so if I don't hold it down with my finger, it pops out all the time. (smile)
*This film uses FUJIFILM commercial film.
Arrived at Tsurumai station.
First of all, I came to "SURIPU", which is about a 2 minute walk from Exit 1 of Tsurumai Subway Station!
I arrived around 10:00 a.m. It took about 20 minutes in line to get in!
The store is small, and fills up with about 5 people. You tell the clerk which bread you want from the showcase.
Hard bread is famous, and it seems that it is almost sold out in the evening.
I heard that "rum raisin scones" are delicious, so I bought them for breakfast! I also bought about 3 types of bread that I researched and was popular.
You can also buy coffee in the store. The beans are roasted by "voyage" at Handa City.
I also bought a cup of coffee to go with the bread I bought to eat at Tsurumai Park. It was very warm that day, so I bought an iced coffee.
Arrived at Tsuruma Park.
Although it was a weekday, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and it was middle of spring break, so the park was crowded with people.
I found a place to sit near the cherry blossoms and started eating right away.
Crispy scones with plenty of rum raisin butter. .
I'm drooling just remembering it. This is a must-try dish for rum raisin lovers.
I bought several scones to eat together, but I was full with one scone.
It was a scone with both volume and taste.
With my stomach full, I decided to take a walk around Tsuruma Park.
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and it was beautiful.
The first thing I saw while walking was a circular outdoor music hall. The designer is currently a professor at Nagoya Institute of Technology.
It was demolished in 1934 due to deterioration, but was restored to its original appearance in 1997. The roof is like a harp, and the railings are like musical scores.
Many of the buildings in Tsuruma Park are designated as nationally registered monuments.
Tsuruma Park has many other flowers besides cherry blossoms.
If you see a strange person shooting colorful flowers in front of you using film, digital, iphone and camera, it might be me.
I've been to Tsuruma Park several times for cherry blossom viewing, but I've always only been to the lawn near the station.
If you go to the back, there is also a playground equipment. A lot of children were playing.
This is "Kochogaike".
Nagoya University Hospital can be seen in the background. Elderly people were gathered under the left center roof and chatting.
When I went through the cherry blossom arch and went to the back, I found a stone monument covered with trees.
Apparently, it is not a stone monument, but a pedestal for a bronze statue of Count Takaaki Kato, Prime Minister from Aichi Prefecture.
Currently, it is just a stone monument as the statue is not on it.
The next thing I saw was "Autumn Pond".
As the name suggests, the trees surrounding the pond turn red in autumn, making it a beautiful sight.
The fountain in the center rises high and splashes water depending on the direction of the wind, so be careful.
There is also a tea shop called “Hagino Chaya” in the park.
It was crowded with people enjoying cherry-blossom viewing with dengaku and dumplings baked!
I also thought that I should take a break, but this time it was crowded, so I decided not to.
Tsuruma Park is the oldest comprehensive park in Nagoya, opened in 1909, and this year marks its 112th anniversary. I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know until now that it was such a large and magnificent park.
There are many trees and flowers in the park, so you can enjoy it all year round. In addition to the playground equipment, it was a really large park with a greening center, a playground, and a library!
I found myself exhausted after walking around the park for about 2-3 hours. ...... I thought I would have lunch at "Nungkunsuk" in the park! But to my surprise, it was closed (I cried).
There was another candidate, a café I was interested in in the Tsurumai area, so I decided to go there.
"Nocake." is about a 5-minute walk from Tsurumai Station.
I entered without lining up at the right time! I ordered the daily plate. On this day, bonito tataki is the main lunch. The side dishes are also delicious and finished in no time. The sweets looked delicious too.
It looks like it's going to be like a bar at night, so I'm going to go again.
That's all for this time's walk in Tsurumai.
Until now, I didn't know that it was such a large and attractive park...
I think there are still places I haven't found yet, so I'd like to go for a walk again♪
