"Yanggao Curry"

Yang Gao Curry

Gaeng Hanle Curry in Yanggao is not a "faithful reproduction of the local taste".

Ms. Muramatsu: "It's based on Gaeng Hanley curry, but in the local area, it's not eaten over rice, but rather like a dish with meat as the main ingredient and roux. Gaeng Hanley curry in Thailand has different tastes depending on the restaurant. It is characterized by hits and misses. Yanggao reproduces the taste of Gaeng Hanley curry that we liked and serves in a Japanese style."

Let's have "Yanggao Curry" right away.

As soon as you take a bite, the scent of ginger spreads in your mouth, and you will be shocked by the taste you ate for the first time. However, as you eat the second and third mouthfuls, you won't be able to stop eating it with the wonderful taste. Because it contains plenty of ginger, your body will gradually warm up while eating.

Yang Gao Curry

The pork is cooked until it's so tender. It's irresistible.

mango chutney

The addition of mango chutney adds a fruity sweetness that changes the taste completely. Crushed nuts are also served on the side, so you can enjoy the texture as you eat.

mini coffee

Mini coffee is included at lunchtime (11:30-15:00). Yanggao original blend of Misuzu Coffee in Nagoya. Served in a French press.

coconut milk ice cream

How about some Thai sweets after dinner?

This is “Coconut milk ice cream (¥350)” handmade by Yanggao. It reproduces the dish that was served at an old restaurant that Mr.Muramatsu often went to when he lived in Bangkok. Not only the taste, but also the dish is carefully searched for in Bangkok.

The gentle sweetness of coconut and the perfect accent of corn. In Thailand, it is common to eat ice cream topped with corn and nuts.

"Massaman curry" Thai curry originated in southern Thailand. You can feel deep richness and sweetness in the faint spiciness. Jasmine rice from Thailand is served.
Curry with prawns and bamboo shoots
"Shrimp and bamboo shoot kuah curry" Thai curry originating in northern Thailand. The rich flavor of coconut milk and shrimp, combined with the freshness of lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, creates an exquisite taste of spiciness and sourness.

There are also two other types of curry, "Massaman Curry" and "Shrimp and Bamboo Shoot Kua Curry", so be sure to try them.

Yangao

Gaeng Hanley Curry is still rare in Japan, but the way of eating is arranged in a Japanese style, so even those who are unfamiliar with Thai curry should definitely give it a try.

Mr. Muramatsu's wish to "bring local Thai culture to Japan" can be felt in every aspect of the restaurant, including the interior, food, goods, and background music. If you are looking for a different kind of curry, or if you are a fan of Thai culture, please visit Yanggao. You will discover a world of Thai local culture that you never knew existed!
