[Kuwana city] "Nagashima Onsen Yuami no Shima" Have the Best Holiday in the Big-scale Open-air Bath and Hot Stone Spa!

Nagashima Onsen Yuami no Shima is a day-trip hot spring facility within the Nagashima Resort. The large scale open-air baths, inspired by the natural beauty of the Oirase Stream and Kurobe Gorge, allow you to stretch your arms and legs to the fullest and relax.
Another attraction is that you can spend a one-rank-above holiday while enjoying a singing show featuring splendid singers and tasting delicious meals. In addition, the "Yuami no Ganbanyoku (hot stone spa)" on the second floor is very popular, with a daily loyly event. It is the perfect facility for sauna lovers and hot-spring activities.

Two open-air baths where you can feel the beauty of nature

"Yuami no Shima" is connected by a connecting passage from the dedicated passage in front of the west gate of "Nagashima Spa Land". There are discount benefits, so it's good to stop by after playing at the amusement park.

Oirase mountain stream hot spring

The biggest attraction of “Yuami no Shima” is the magnificent open-air bath that is inspired by nature. There are two types of baths: "Oirase Keiryu-no-Yu" (pictured), which is inspired by the Oirase Gorge, a famous mountain stream in the Tohoku region, and "Kurobe Kyokoku-no-Yu", which is inspired by Kurobe Gorge, the largest gorge in Japan. A total of 17 types of open-air baths and indoor baths are available, boasting an area of 33,000 square meters.

Basically, "Oirase Keiryu no Yu" is a women's bath, and "Kurobe Kyokoku no Yu" is a men's bath (may change due to events, etc.).

By the way, the bathing hours for official hotel guests are switched between 5am and 8am, so if you stay at the hotel, you can enjoy both baths in the morning and at night!

"Oirase Keiryu no Yu" is an open-air bath full of natural beauty created by recreating the Oirase Keiryu, a famous spot in Aomori Prefecture. Open-air baths and footbaths are scattered along the mountain stream with a total length of about 390m.

Natural trees brought from all over Japan are arranged, and you can enjoy the feeling of enjoying the hot water while walking through the forest. First-time visitors are sure to be surprised that the open-air area stretches on and on.

"Kurobe Kyokoku no Yu" is an open-air bath with a magnificent scale, inspired by the Kurobe Gorge that spreads across Toyama Prefecture. Natural trees and gigantic rocks are arranged to recreate the beauty of a wild gorge. It feels good to take a deep breath!

The indoor bath is equipped with a sauna room and cold water bath (the photo is the indoor bath of "Kurobe Gorge no Yu"). After getting steamed in the sauna room and tightening up in the water bath, it feels great to feel the wind in the open-air bath that mimics the great outdoors! It is a hot spring facility that I would like to recommend to sauna lovers.

Introducing the resting area!

On the 2nd floor, there is "Yuami no Ganbanyoku". If you add a Ganbanyoku option after entering the facility, it costs +800 yen, but if you purchase a "Ganbanyoku set ticket" first, you can use it for +300 yen (discounted admission fee of 1,100 yen + 500 yen after 19:00).

If you plan to stay leisurely for the whole day, the "Ganbanyoku set ticket" is the best choice!
There are 6 types of Ganbanyoku (hot stone spa) in the facility. Let's check them in order.

①「Flame -en-」

“Flame -en-” is a crimson flame flickering in a space with the lighting turned down to the limit. Healing music of 528 Hz, which is said to have a high healing effect, is playing, and it calms the mind.

Capacity: 21 people
Indoor temperature: 45℃

②「Green -ryoku-」

A soothing space with the sound of water and high-quality high-resolution music in a space covered in cypress with the scent of wood. Green and yellow medicinal stones are laid out, which can be expected to promote metabolic function and increase oxygen supply to the body.

Capacity: 19 people
Room temperature: about 48℃

③「Zen」

You can enjoy programs such as "Yoga" and "Zen" in a space covered with special minerals with high medicinal properties. The basic cycle is 45 minutes of hot yoga + 15 minutes of rest + 30 minutes of Zen (check the official website for the schedule).

If you experience it all through, you can expect a considerable detox effect. You can leave the room halfway through, so if you are interested in hot yoga, it might be a good idea to try it as an introduction.

Capacity: 23 people
Indoor temperature: Approximately 42°C (38°C during yoga)

④「Cloud -un-」

A fantastic space inspired by a sea of clouds. Moisturizes dry skin due to perspiration.

Capacity: 8 people
Indoor temperature: 45℃

The smoke illuminated by the light spreads at your feet while changing colors, and you can't help but admire it.

⑤ "burning -nen-"

Next, you can enjoy Finnish-style steam bath “loyly” at “nen-”. A special ceramic that boasts high thermal conductivity and a highly heat-resistant fragrant stone are heated to a high temperature to encourage sweating. The hottest of the six bedrock baths.

Capacity: 56 people
Indoor temperature: Maximum value 65℃

Loyly Attraction by the staff is held every day here. It is held 4 times on weekdays and 6 times on weekends and holidays (check the official website for the schedule).

When the time comes, an image will be projected on the monitor, and the color and sound of the lights at your feet will change accordingly, giving you a live feeling. The word "attraction" is perfect, and I feel something close to the thrill before riding the roller coaster at Nagashima Spa Land.

When the staff pours aroma water into the stone, the temperature rises at once!

In addition, stir the hot air with a fan! The heat goes up, so if you give it a thumbs up, your hands will be hot!

When the heat and scent fills the room, it sends a heat wave to each person. I was surprised to see myself sweating so much! Nagashima's Loyly Attraction, don't underestimate it!

⑥「coolness -rei-」

If you want to experience the Loyly Attraction, don't hesitate to rush to "Coolness -rei-". As the name suggests, it is a cool space that is perfect for cooling down. It is said that it rapidly tightens the skin that has been opened due to perspiration and brings about a beautiful skin effect.

Capacity: 12 people
Indoor temperature: 5℃

Icicles grow in the center, visually giving you a cold feeling. When the icicles reach a certain size, they begin to dance like living creatures, and eventually snap off. How ephemeral...

It's so comfortable that you might end up staying longer, but it's a very cold room with a temperature of around 5 degrees Celsius, so let's leave without stress.

Take a break and relax in a reclining chair for Ganbanyoku users. It also has about 10,000 comic books. A computer corner is also available free of charge.

The ultimate relaxing space is "Star -sei-". There is also a "private room booth" with a structure like a capsule hotel. It is also equipped with a light, making it ideal for reading while lying down. It's very private.

"Yuami no Bedrock Bath" with super-equipped facilities. Even if you only use this facility, you can easily spend a whole day here.

Gorgeous show and delicious meals
This is entertainment!

By the way, what many people associate with "Nagashima Onsen Yuami no Shima" is probably this "Ohiroma (The big room)". Large lights hanging from the ceiling and tables arranged at regular intervals. Customers relaxing in yukata are also picturesque.

The “Kayo Show” featuring gorgeous singers is an indispensable tradition of Nagashima Onsen. Famous songs that shine brightly in the history of Japanese pop music will be performed one after another. The Kayo Show is held twice a day (check the official website for performers and schedule). Admission is free for visitors.

Enjoying the show while drinking and eating is also a real pleasure. Surrounding the large hall are three restaurants: Japanese-style cafeteria, Chinese restaurant Tosen, and noodle restaurant Bashoan. Be sure to try the local beer brewed at Nabana no Sato!

Speaking of Nagashima, this is it! Dandelion Ramen

The first thing I would like to recommend is the “Tampopo (dandelion) Ramen” (900 yen) from “Chinese Cuisine Tosen”. Various ingredients such as shrimp, vegetables, and wood ear mushrooms are on top to cover the noodles, making it a very filling dish!

It is also served at restaurants in the official hotel "Hanamizuki" and "Nabana no Sato". It is a specialty of Nagashima.

Quite reasonable! "Bashoan Gozen"

The “Bashoan Gozen” from “Noodle Cuisine Bashoan” is also highly recommended. You can enjoy various dishes such as sashimi and tempura in small portions. The contents change depending on the season, but on this day, we were able to enjoy autumn flavors such as chestnut rice. 1,580 yen including homemade 2.8 soba, which is the pride of Bashoan. Quite reasonable price!

Early bird discount + gourmet plan

In addition, what you should definitely know is the "Maru-Toku Plan", which is sold only on weekdays and until 15:00. You can enjoy bathing and a luxurious meal set for 3,000 yen (3,300 yen with a bedrock bath).

In addition to the "Deluxe Otona-sama Lunch" (pictured) at the "Japanese-style Cafeteria", special meal sets are also available at "Noodle restaurant Bashoan" and "Chinese Cuisine Tosen". You can select either one.

The entrance fee to Yuami no Shima is usually 2,100 yen, so it's surprising that you can enjoy such a luxurious meal for 900 yen.

A recommended souvenir is a product using strawberries harvested at Nagashima Farm, which is operated by Nagashima Resort.

"Strawberry Juice" (980 yen), which makes a gentle strawberry milk when mixed with milk, "Strawberry Gateau" (1,200 yen for 3 pieces), and "Nagashima Strawberry Jelly" (880 yen) are especially popular. Makes a great souvenir!

After being soothed by the open-air bath, going back and forth between the sauna and the water bath, and enjoying gourmet food, Ganbanyoku, and singing performances, the sun went down in the blink of an eye, even though I had been staying there since morning. How happy it is to be "busy to play".

Combined with Nagashima Spa Land and outlet malls, it is fine to spend an active time, or you can visit by yourself and thoroughly enjoy the hot springs and Ganbanyoku! It is the best hot spring facility where you can enjoy each holiday no matter when and with whom you visit.
