【Hotel Stay Review】Sake & Hinoki Bath at TSUKI Tokyo, a Hotel that Will Make You a Japan Connoisseur!

“TSUKI Tokyo” hotel opened in Tsukiji, Tokyo, in April 2019.

The concept is “a hotel that will make you a Japan connoisseur.” The hotel is full of attractions to experience Japanese culture, such as guest rooms with hinoki baths, private baths filled with the fragrance of Aomori hiba (cypress), and a sake bar where guests can compare famous sake from all over Japan.

This time, we actually stayed at “TSUKI Tokyo.” We would like to report on it with plenty of photos.

<Three points recommended by our editorial department>

① A private hinoki bath where you can relax in comfort
② Sake bar where you can taste famous sake from all over Japan
③ Conveniently located within walking distance of Tsukiji Outside Market

The Hotel is Only a 3-minute Walk from the Station!

TSUKI Tokyo is located in Tsukiji, Tokyo. It is only a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Tsukiji Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and a 4-minute walk from Exit 1 of Shintomi-cho Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line.

The Ginza area is also within walking distance!

The stylish exterior also won the 2019 Good Design Award.

A Lineup of Fine Sake from all over Japan!
“Sake Bar TABLE TSUKI”

Sake Bar TABLE TSUKI is located just inside the entrance. Sake Bar TABLE TSUKI offers a carefully selected selection of unique sake from various regions of Japan.

From 10:00 to 18:00, you can enjoy green tea, black tea, matcha ice cream, and other specialties for tea time.

Seasonal sake recommendations are also available! We will introduce more later, but sake can also be enjoyed in guest rooms.

Rooms with Hinoki Baths are also Available! Modern Japanese-style Rooms

There are a total of 31 rooms in 5 types. The Premier Double Bed Room, Premier Twin Bed Room, and Deluxe Twin Bed Room have a Japanese Cypress bath in the room!

We stayed in the “Premier Twin Bed Room” this time. The bed made in Japan, towels made in Imabari, Minoyaki teapots and teacups, etc., are all made in Japan.

The bed and living space is well separated from the water area, making it perfect for long stays as it is spacious!

Here is the hinoki bath you are interested in!

It is so luxurious to be surrounded by the scent of wood and to be able to enjoy a hinoki bath as long as you like at any time of the day.

Minibar service is also available. The mini drinks in the refrigerator are free of charge. There are times when you want a little drink in your room, right?

A mini beer after enjoying the hinoki bath was the best!

Private Bath Available only for Guests
Private Bath “YUUYA/Yuya”

The most attractive feature of “TSUKI Tokyo” is the “YUUYA/Yuya” private baths, which are available only for hotel guests. There are two types, “OBORO” and “KASUMI,” and we chose “KASUMI” for this visit!

You can enjoy the private bath for 45 minutes at your leisure. The staff will unlock the door for you when it is time to make a reservation, so you do not have to go to the front desk.

Advance reservation is required. There is also a plan that includes a private bath.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by soothing healing music and the rich aroma of hinoki cypress. Amenities and towels are provided, so you do not need to bring anything!

It’s so luxurious that you’ll be surprised to find yourself saying, “Is this really inside a hotel?” You will be surprised at how luxurious the space is. The bathtub made of Aomori hiba is very spacious. Even two adults could comfortably soak in the bathtub. This time, we gracefully had it all to ourselves, one person at a time.

A clock is installed in the room so you can quickly check the remaining time. This is a nice point!

After taking a bath, go to YUAGARI, a rest area available only to users of the private baths. Drinks available here are also free of charge.

Take a relaxing break while reading a book from the library.

Sake Lovers will be Delighted!
A Full Range of Room Service

The menu of Sake-Bar TABLE TSUKI, the sake bar introduced earlier, can also be ordered as room service. A wide variety of sake from all over Japan is on the menu!

Since we couldn’t decide what to drink, we ordered the “Comparison Set (Two Sake).” The set comes with snacks perfect for a quick drink. It also comes with a sake introduction card, which is a nice touch.
Of course, beer, shochu and wine are also available.

Morning at Tsukiji Outside Market!

One of the best things to do in the Tsukiji area is to have a morning meal at the outside market!

It is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. This location makes it possible to enjoy a quick breakfast in Tsukiji before checking out.

By the way, if you prefer to have breakfast in the hotel as well, we also offer bento style breakfast service. You can have a seaweed bento from Tsukiji’s “Hake Soy Sauce Nori Bento Yamanobori” in your room. (Reservations required by 19:00 the day before.)

Although the hotel is compact with a total of 31 rooms, it is perfect for a stay-at-home with a relaxing private bath, a sake bar with room service, breakfast served in the room, and a full range of services! The hotel is also easily accessible, making it a good base for your trip.

We recommend this hotel for those who want to spend a relaxing time at the hotel!
