I visited "Aichi Bokujyo" with my children, where we could interact with animals and enjoy excellent gelato and seasonal flowers.

Aichi Bokujo is located in Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture and is affectionately known as “Aiboku”. It is easily accessible from Nagoya and is widely known as a tourist ranch.

There are many animals such as cows, horses, sheep, goats, and guinea pigs. On weekends, it is crowded with families and couples, and even on weekdays, many people visit with small children and kindergarteners on excursions.

There is also a vast flower garden where you can enjoy seasonal flowers, a vegetable harvesting experience, and gourmet food such as barbecues. We will tell you the charm of "Aichi Ranch" where you can have plenty of fun for a day!

Aichi Farm has a long history, and it is said that it began in 1946 when the farm was reclaimed after the war when there was a shortage of food. Initially, it was mainly an orchard, but after trial and error, it was decided to raise dairy cows, and the foundation of the current ranch was built.

In recent years, Aichi Bokujyo has become popular as a tourist ranch, but its main business is the dairy industry. They raise about 130 cows and manufacture and sell dairy products such as milk and ice cream.

Let's spend a relaxing time interacting with animals!

The first thing I would like to recommend at Aichi Bokujyo is feeding!

You can feed various animals such as powerful horses and ponies, friendly sheep and goats, adorable rabbits and guinea pigs. You can also have a full-fledged experience such as pulling horses and milking cows.

When you arrive at the ranch, feed the horses and ponies!

Put money in and get carrots! 100 yen for 3 sticks. (All prices below include tax.)

Although I was nervous, I was able to get close to the friendly horses right away.

The ranch opens at 9:00, but the animal park and horse riding experience starts at 10:00, so if you arrive early, we recommend feeding the horses and ponies first.

Insert the carrot into the cylinder and turn the turntable. Rather, the horse was spinning it well!

Here, you can feed the animals in a slightly different way. It is a great way to get children excited about feeding animals. Even those who are not good at feeding the animals directly by hand can do it this way.

Put it on the launch pad. It was like operating a machine that they had longed for and they made it.

There are washrooms throughout the park. This is a cute milk can.

Please visit the healing "Animal Plaza" where you can interact with the animals!

The entrance fee is 300 yen per person. Children under 2 years old are free.

Here, visitors can interact with a variety of animals, including sheep, goats, rabbits, and guinea pigs, by feeding them.

200 yen per plate. Ends when all are gone.

There were two types of bait for sale. Buy the feed that fits the animal you are looking for.

You can feed them right away. It is so cute that they all come to receive the food charmingly.

We were a bit scared of the beak, but it ate it well.

What you can see in the back of the photo is the area where you can enter without bringing in food.

There are Halloween decorations all over the ranch, and you can feel the season.

It's nice to see them eating deliciously.

In the small animal area, rabbits were hopping around freely.

There are many guinea pigs in the back building. Very cute and popular with children.

How cute and soothing.

There were also Maras.

Let's try riding a horse! Horseback Riding Experience

There is also an exchange machine here. It was helpful to buy carrots for bait.

The shed in front of the pulling station, where tickets can be purchased. You can choose ponies or  thoroughbreds according to your height.

To ride ponies, you must be under 120 cm tall and over 3 years old. Thoroughbreds can be ridden if you are over 120 cm tall and weigh less than 70 kg.

Pony, half round 600 yen, one round 900 yen. Thoroughbred 1 lap 1,000 yen.

Riding a horse is surely a special experience. You may feel nervous, but the attendant will pull the reins for you.

My 5 year old son had a pony riding.

He was trying to get on and off by himself.

It was a special experience that made him feel like an older brother. It gave him the confidence to say, "I can do it!"

It seems that they regularly check that the harness is properly attached, which is reassuring.

My daughter, a second grader, is allowed to ride thoroughbreds.

You will be shown how to straddle it and get in by yourself.

She started nervously.

Her nerves quickly melted away and she began to enjoy herself. She said she felt like a character in a story.

We were able to follow them outside the fence.

It was a great opportunity to experience the warmth of animals.

"Horseback Riding Lesson"

There is also a "Kids Pony Club" for children from 5 years old to 3rd grade elementary school, and "Horseback Riding Lessons" for 4th grade elementary school students and up to adults. The course can be tailored to suit your needs.

I hear that inexperienced people are also welcome, and I expect that children's minds and hearts will grow, and adults will enjoy the challenge. Above all, I think it will be healing, and I too am very much looking forward to it.

Recommended for food education! "Milking experience" (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays only)

Experience fee is 400 yen per person

Milking experience is very popular! The interview day was the middle of the three consecutive holidays, so there was a long line.

While waiting in line, take your time to watch the cows being fed and brushed in the barn. There are various exhibits related to cows, and you can learn a lot!

These are some calves. cute.

You can become “knowledgeable” about cows while waiting in line.

Finally, our turn is approaching!
Ponpoko is the one who you'll be milking today.

Nice to meet you, Pompoko-chan!

The staff will give you a lecture. Make a circle with your thumb and forefinger and squeeze them from top to bottom.

"Wow, I made it~!"

My 5-year-old son was able to do it even though he struggled!

For the children, it was a good opportunity to get in touch with life, saying "It was warm" and "It was soft. It also seemed to give them confidence that they could do it.

Milk is a common ingredient in school lunches and on supermarket shelves, but the experience of milking milk will make you realize that it is a "blessing of life".
