A stylish building suddenly appears in a quiet residential area, a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Kokusai Center Station on the Sakuradori subway line.

The stylish building with reinforced concrete and wood in harmony has a cafe on the first floor and a shared office on the upper floor.

The cafe is used not only by the general public, but also by people using shared offices.

In addition to the counter seats, there are sofa seats where you can relax on. These are the carefully selected Scandinavian furniture.

The color of the concrete is blackish color mixed with black colored powder. It creates a tasteful and calm atmosphere.

AND PLUS is operated by Eiko HD Co., Ltd., which plans and sells machine tools and high-performance apparel in the construction industry. At first glance, both may seem unrelated, but we asked Ms. Sato, the store manager, about her thoughts on opening a shared office and cafe.

Ms. Sato: "We are a company that has been supporting workers for many years in the construction industry, and we have helped create spaces. AND PLUS is the result of thinking about the future of work. In the future, I would like to propose a new work style while valuing diversity and the values each person has. With that in mind, I decided to open a shared office and cafe. ”

This building, which is a fusion of reinforced concrete and wooden construction, took about a year to complete, and a special space created by craftsmen with time and effort was born. The interior uses Scandinavian furniture to create a comfortable space. In addition, the store name "AND PLUS" contains the desire to "cherish various values".

Ms. Sato:"I want to make a place where we can accept different values and add them together. We don't subtract with 'OR', we add with 'AND'. It's not a multiplication, it's an addition. Maybe the movement is little by little, but I want to carefully add each and every one of them. That's why I named it 'and plus'."

AND PLUS's unique system is the "Number Coffee". You can choose from 25 types of coffee displayed on the touch panel according to your mood at that time. It is divided by the axes of bitterness, sourness, richness, and refreshing.

Ms. Sato:“The owner usually travels around Japan and overseas on business trips, and since he is a coffee lover, he often visits various cafes in Japan and overseas and works there. The idea of "The taste of the coffee you want to drink depends on your mood,” and “There aren’t many coffee shops where you can choose the flavor,” led me to create Number Coffee. You can choose according to your mood at that time, such as 'I want something refreshing today' or 'I want a strong bitter coffee because I have a hard day at work today'."

Number coffee with the idea of "a special cup for you". They created this chart of 25 different coffees simply for the mood of the moment and for sensory enjoyment.

When an order is placed, each cup is blended from 9 types of beans with different origins and degrees of roasting stored in canisters behind the counter.

1 to 3 types of beans are carefully blended and extracted using the special machine "modbar". With modbar, it is possible to provide drip coffee with a consistent taste every time because hot water is extracted at a constant rate and with a set amount and temperature.

AND PLUS has also started a subscription service. You can enjoy your favorite coffee from a menu of about 30 types, including number coffee, up to 3 cups a day for 3,800 yen per month.
