Fishing spots in Aichi Prefecture
Aichi Prefecture has a wide area facing the sea, such as the Chita Peninsula and Atsumi Peninsula, and you can fish here and there in the prefecture. There are many revetments that have been developed as fishing spots, so you can enjoy fishing with peace of mind even with small children.
Shino-jima Fishing Paradise (Minamichita Town)
Shino-jima is a remote island in Aichi that can be reached in about 10 minutes by high-speed boat from Morozaki Port. Directly managed by the Shino-jima Fishery Cooperative Association, Shino-jima Fishing Heaven is the only offshore fishing pond in Aichi Prefecture. There are many fishing spots on Shino-jima, but even if you come empty-handed, you can still enjoy fishing, and even beginners can aim for big fish.
In the live fish tanks in the harbor that make use of the surrounding Mikawa Bay around Shino-jima as it is, various kinds of fish, including large and small fish such as sea bream and yellowtail, swim about. The fish that live in an environment that does not change from their natural habitat are all very lively, and are recommended for their strong pull and enjoyment, which only fish from the sea can provide.
Also, even if you have little fishing experience, you can have a thorough explanation, and if the fish you catch swallows the hook, the person in charge will remove it, so you can rest assured.
The fishing experience lasts for 2 hours, and you can take home up to 5 fish you catch. Also, before bringing the fish home, the person in charge will "bleed out" the fish and finish it off for you.
You can stop by while sightseeing in Shino-jima or swimming in the sea.

Shinmaiko Marine Park (fishing facility) (Chita City)
Located in Chita City, Shinmaiko Marine Park is a popular leisure spot for beaches and parks. In January 2015, a sea fishing park opened in Shinmaiko Marine Park.
The fishing spot, which is open to the public as a fishing facility on the south side of the hill with a view of the sea, is a bank with a total length of 740m and a width of about 4m, with a depth of about 3-5m. There is a fence so you can use it with peace of mind even with small children.
It seems that greenling, bluefish, soi, and bamboo rockfish are often caught, but there are various types of fish depending on the season. It's a great spot where you can fish while watching planes take off and land at Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair).
Also, rest areas A and B in the Marine Park are close by, so there is no need to worry about restroom facilities.

The north river of the JERA Hekinan Thermal Power Station in Hekinan City and the revetment near the outlet are open to the public free of charge as a fishing plaza.
This is a popular fishing spot where you can enjoy fishing all year round because warm water is always discharged from here. There is a tall fence to prevent falls, so it is safe even with small children.
The fishing spot is 700m long and the water depth is about 5-6m. The fish you can catch vary depending on the season, mainly sardines, black sea bream, seigo, gobies, rockfish, and flatfish.
Restrooms, fall barriers, life-saving floats, and a rest house attract many people, from families to seasoned veterans.

Rinku Fishing Seawall (Tokoname City)
"Rinku Fishing Seawall" is located at the foot of the Centrair Ohashi Bridge that crosses Central Japan International Airport (Centrair). It is very safe because it has fences, and the water is shallow, so many people use it for cast fishing or lure fishing.
The fish you can catch include horse mackerel, sardines, scorpionfish, black porgy, sea bass (madaka, sea bass, seigo), shirogisu, gobies, holly (zenme, nekomata), and rockfish. There are many types of fish that can be caught depending on the season, so it is a popular spot for a wide range of people from beginners to veterans.
Restrooms are located on the south side (parking lot) of the adjacent Rinku Greenbelt and at the Rinku Beach parking lot.
It's located on the opposite shore of Centrair, so it's also recommended for airplane enthusiasts. You can also enjoy fishing while watching airplanes and listening to their sounds.
There are Aeon Mall Tokoname and Costco nearby, so you can shop before or after fishing.
