This is the place for those who want to eat hearty food!
"Tamago Kake Noodle God (COLD)"
Noodle Atelier UZOMUZO is located along Otsu-dori in Osu 3-chome.
With the concept of "being free to think outside the box," this ramen restaurant is popular among young people and offers an innovative style of ramen that cannot be found anywhere else.
The recommended summer cold noodle dish at Noodle Atelier UZOMUZO is the Tamago Kake Noodle God (COLD). It is a soupless ramen served in the Kamatama Udon style.
The thick noodles have a smooth surface like Sanuki udon and a chewy texture. This hearty dish is topped with two egg yolks, a seasoned egg, roasted pork slices, bonito flakes, and lemon.
What is especially appealing is that you get to taste two of these rich egg yolks. We use "Mangetsu (full moon) eggs," which can only be produced from a limited number of hens, and they are entwined with the noodles as if they were the best of both worlds.
It even comes with a seasoned egg, making it a perfect cold noodle dish for egg lovers. If you order extra rice, you can also enjoy the special TKG (egg over rice)!
At Noodle Atelier UZOMUZO you can enjoy modern, new-style ramen.
Be sure to try the hearty, cool noodles at "Noodle Atelier UZOMUZO" and you'll be completely satisfied.

You can experience authentic Sanuki udon!
Kagawa's "Bukkake Udon (cold)"
Speaking of noodle shops in Osu, you can't miss this one. Sanuki Mendokoro Kagawa is a restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Sanuki udon.
You can enjoy authentic Sanuki udon noodles made by the owner, who trained in Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture. All of the main ingredients are purchased from Kagawa Prefecture! This udon restaurant is loved by men and women of all ages, and is constantly popular.
The perfect menu for the hot summer at Sanuki Mendokoro Kagawa is the "Bukkake Udon (cold)." Bukkake Udon, which is made of chewy udon noodles topped with cold soup, is a standard menu item at Kagawa.
The noodles are not just chewy, but soft yet firm, giving them a texture unique to Sanuki udon.
For condiments, there are plenty of green onions and tenkasu. It is simple, but this alone makes for a perfect taste. Sprinkling lemon on top adds a refreshing touch and changes the atmosphere.
There are many repeat customers and regulars, so the restaurant is always bustling. It's also easy to come alone, so it's recommended for a quick lunch.

You'll get addicted to the super thin noodles!
Koranen's "Cold Chinese Noodles"
Located in Osu Shopping Arcade, Koranen is a traditional local Chinese restaurant. It is a classic Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of menu items, including ramen and gyoza.
Koran-en offers "hiyashi chuka" (cold Chinese noodles) only during the summer (until the end of August). This dish is simply delicious.
The toppings are generously topped with cucumber, egg, bean sprouts, and roasted pork! It's served in a deep bowl, so it's easy to mix.
The most important point I would like to recommend is the thinness of the noodles! The ultra-thin Chinese noodles, much thinner than most Chinese noodles, mix well with the thick sesame sauce. Once you start eating, you will not be able to stop slurping down the noodles.
The subtle chili threads and shredded seaweed on top are also a nice accent.
Koranen is a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional local Chinese food. The sale of chilled Chinese noodles is limited until August 31st! Please come to Osu to try the special chilled Chinese noodles that can only be enjoyed in the summer.

Takeaway and eat on the go!
Seoul Namja's "Kimchi Cold Noodles"
Seoul Namja, located on the first floor of the Godenkyo Building in Osu, is a restaurant specializing in Korean food takeout. Original Korean dishes such as one-hand pancake rolls and bibim-noodles are available for takeout.
The addictive bibim-noodles are also recommended, but a must-try menu item for summer is the "kimchi hiyashi" (cold noodles with kimchi).
The kimchi cold noodles are served in a large, easy-to-carry cup. The soup is cold and has crunchy ice, so you can enjoy it to the last drop, even on a hot day!
It's topped with shredded chicken, crunchy cucumber, and even grilled boiled eggs!
The roasting of the boiled eggs brings out their fragrant flavor, which goes perfectly with the spicy kimchi soup. It really brings out the flavor and is very delicious.
One of the attractions is that it can be easily eaten as a takeaway. It was more voluminous than I expected, so it would be great to order it together with other food and share it.
There is also a seating area for about two people in front of the store, so if you want to relax and enjoy your meal, please feel free to use it.

Speaking of Nagoya, this is it!
Chojiya's "Tempura Kishimen (cold)"
Located west of Osu Shintenchi Street, "Teuchi Soba Chojiya" is a long-established soba restaurant founded in 1953.
Their freshly made soba noodles, made using carefully selected domestic buckwheat flour, have remained beloved for their unchanging taste since the restaurant first opened.
The cool noodle served at such a long-established soba noodle restaurant is Nagoya's specialty, "Kishimen (flat noodle)". As a soba noodle restaurant, we would recommend cold soba noodles, but this time we are proud to introduce the excellent Kishimen from "Chojiya".
Among the many Kishimen dishes on the menu, the one we especially recommend is the "Tempura Kishimen (cold)." This luxurious dish is topped with large, freshly fried shrimp tempura.
The handmade Kishimen noodles are chewy and have a refined taste. They are smooth and have just the right amount of chewiness. With just one bite, you can tell they are made with care.
The shrimp tempura, served with plenty of cold sauce, is plump, crispy and irresistibly delicious.
The relaxed atmosphere of this long-established restaurant cools down the summer heat. It is a restaurant full of charm that you will want to visit regularly. We introduced cold Kishimen this time, but their soba and udon noodles are also excellent.
The only way to survive the Nagoya's hot summer is with the cold noodles at Chojiya!

Sugakiya Osu Branch reopened in June 2024. The cute, retro Showa-era interior offers a wide variety of menu items, including standard dishes, as well as dishes exclusive to the Osu Branch and revivals of popular dishes from the past.
The recommended cold noodle dish at "Sugakiya Osu Branch" is "Cold Bang Bang Chicken." This menu item is only available at the Osu branch!
The special soup, which combines Sugakiya's original cold noodle soup with rich sesame sauce, is addictive. This refreshing and delicious cold noodle dish is topped with plenty of steamed chicken, seaweed, and vegetables.
