Many shops go through multiple vendors before they reach you, so the price may more than double. However, Kraftwerk carefully selects and purchases each item from local weavers, so we are able to offer products of reliable quality at reasonable prices.
Kilims are an integral part of nomadic life. Since ancient times, it has been woven for use by each household as a tool for daily life. The wool is hand woven from livestock sheep, and the dye is hand woven using vegetable dyes made from the blessings of nature in the surrounding area. There are many tribes in Iran, and it is also a big attraction that the patterns differ greatly depending on the tribe.
Gabbeh is woven by nomadic people who live in the Fars region of southwestern Iran. The material is wool and the color is vegetable dye. All are made from materials found in nature.
