"Le ciel bleu,"
a boulangerie that continues to pursue true deliciousness with skilled sensibility and technique
in Gifu

Since its opening in 2004, the boulangerie "Le ciel bleu" has remained popular. This is a famous store in Gifu that is frequented by customers who love bread.

The products change monthly, and 20 new items will appear in September, the year of the anniversary. They have a wide variety of genuine breads that are perfect for everyday occasions.

This time, we will introduce the excellent bread full of originality and the charm of Le Ciel Bleu.

A place where you can feel everyday life in France
~ a la francais ~

A stylish exterior that won the Gifu City Landscape Award in 2005

"Le ciel bleu" means "blue sky" in French. Adding the image of heaven to the blue sky, it seems that it also has the meaning of "bread that makes you feel comfortable like the bread you eat in heaven."

About 10 minutes by car from Gifu Station. The shop, which stands on the west side of Shimaminami Park, is part of a quiet residential area. The neighborhood of Sugo, Gifu City, where the store is located, is lined with a variety of sophisticated and stylish shops, and is also an area where adults who seek quality gather.

The entrance where you can feel the sense even though it is simple

A cool building with a novel contrast of blue on inorganic concrete.

*The current closing time is 17:00.

This interesting logo is a geometric design of the first letter of the store's name, "L, C, B". Isn't it kind of relaxing?

Just like the exterior, the inorganic materials and blue color draw the eye, creating a space full of aesthetics and cleanliness.

A shelf made of transparent glass to highlight each product

The east side facing the park is made entirely of glass, allowing sunlight to enter, creating a bright, open and comfortable space.

The view of the park full of flowers and trees spreading out in front of you is like a painting, and you can enjoy spring, summer, autumn and winter from inside the store.

At the time of the interview, a blizzard of cherry blossoms was just falling.

You can always find your favorite bread!
Variety of breads

At the time of opening, all products will be labeled with French names, and will start with 30 items centered on hard bread and viennoiserie. They continue to develop products while responding to customer requests, and currently have about 70 different types of bread on the shelves.

The variety of bread is most abundant around 12:00. However, customers keep coming in search of the bread they want, and even if the bread is lined up, it disappears... It's a popular shop.

Most of the customers buy bread without hesitation, putting it on a tray and putting it on a lot. Is it like if you come across what you want when you visit the store, just buy it? Even though there were many regular customers, I was surprised at how quickly the turnover was on weekdays.

It seems that new freshly baked bread will be added soon at 12:30.

Hot salt bread appeared!

Simple salt bread (80 yen) with butter, rock salt, and wheat flour as the main ingredients.

During the shoot, several customers asked, "Do you have salt bread?" Freshly baked looks especially delicious! If you come across freshly baked bread at the shop, get it immediately.

From the left "soybean bread (150 yen)" "soybean and adzuki bean bread (160 yen)" "soy cheese (160 yen)"

On weekdays, the bread will be ready at 13:00. Soybean bread is always baked last. It seems that this sugar-controlled soy bread was devised at the request of a customer. If you're looking for soybean bread, visit around 1pm and you'll be able to find freshly baked bread.

Just smelling the freshly baked bread makes us feel happy. If you want to enjoy your favorite bread in the best condition, it would be nice to know the baking time.

On weekends and holidays, the amount of bread to be baked seems to be quite large, but the competition seems to be amazing. If there is a bread that you definitely want to get, we recommend making a reservation.
