"Tokyo Peasen" by Eitaro Sohonpo
"Peasen" is a popular confectionery in Tokyo made from Japanese glutinous rice and peanuts. Originally sold by Ginza Edoichi, the product took the world by storm, and was taken over in 1999 by Eitaro Sohonshiki, a long-established Japanese confectionary store in Nihonbashi, and continues to be a popular product.
The "Peasen Tokyo Noren Meguri" series was created by bringing together long-established brands that have been in business for over 100 years. These special peasenes are made by adding traditional flavors such as "Aosa (sea lettus) Peasenes" from "Yamamotoyama," a long-established seaweed and tea company, and "Katsuobushi (bonito) Peasenes" from "Ninben," a long-established dried bonito flakes company.
The crispy texture will not stop once you start eating. The scent of peanuts spreading softly whets the appetite. Especially if you like alcohol, please give it a try!
