Following on from the last Kaldi edition, our alcohol-loving Editorial Team staff would like to introduce "Seijo Ishii's Top 10 Popular Snacks"! Items that can be eaten as is without cooking. We have picked out items that go well with various types of alcohol, such as beer, wine, and sake.

A long-selling product that has been loved for over 30 years since its release
"Temaki Natto"
One of Seijo Ishii's most famous products is "Temaki Natto," a long-selling product that has been on the market for more than 30 years.
Ariake seaweed is shaped like a sushi roll and filled with dried natto (fermented soybeans) and arare (Japanese sweet bean curd). Freeze-dried ground natto made from 100% domestic soybeans.
At first, the texture is crunchy. The more you chew, the more sticky the texture becomes, just like real natto! You can also taste the flavors of mustard and green onion, making it feel like you are eating a real natto roll. The small package is also a nice feature! Be careful, once you try it, you will become addicted to it!

"Kari-kari Iriko Fry"
Another popular item from the Osakana Snack Collection is the “Kari-kari Iriko Fry”.
These snacks are made from high quality iriko (dried sardines) from Ehime Prefecture, and are crispy and easy to eat. It has a slightly bitter taste, but that goes well with sake! Beer and sake go well with it. In addition to iriko, there are kongari yaki aji (grilled horse mackerel), pari-pari egg crab, and pari-pari wakame (seaweed).
