The "Shared bicycle service" is a convenient way to get around town for sightseeing, shopping, and other short trips. In addition to the convenience of being able to rent a bike when needed, shared bicycles are also attracting attention as a new means of transportation that avoids the three densely populated areas of the city.
In Nagoya City, there are three share cycle (rental cycle) services: Neuet Co., Ltd.'s "Charichari", Sakae Minami Town Development's "Dela Chari", and Meitetsu Kyosho's "Kariteko Bike".

First of all, what is a “share cycle service”?
As the name implies, "shared cycle" is a service in which bicycles are "shared" with other people. It is also called "community cycle," "bicycle sharing," or "cycle share".
Renting a bicycle is similar to "renting a bicycle," but shared bicycles can be rented freely at multiple "cycle ports," or bicycle parking areas. The flexibility of being able to return the bike at a different location than where you rented it is appealing.
Shared bicycles can also be rented using IC cards or smartphone apps. Although membership registration is required at the beginning, it is easy to rent a bike the second time around.
Take a short ride for 4 yen per minute!
"Charichari"
"Charichari" started service in Nagoya from July 15, 2020. Ports are opening one after another, mainly in the Nagoya Station area and Sakae area.
The fee is 4 yen per minute and can be used in increments of one minute, making it convenient for short trips.
The original bike, developed by Chari-Chari, has 20-inch tires, which are small, but they move forward briskly even with light force. Because of its small size, the saddle can be adjusted to suit the physique of both small and large riders!
