Todagawa Children's Land, a large children's center where children can think and create their own games.

"Todagawa Todagawa Children's Land" is located in "Todagawa Ryokuchi'' in Minato Ward, Nagoya City. The Toda River flows right next to the green space, and the facility is located in an environment rich in nature. It has continued to fascinate children ever since it opened in 1996.

The spacious 1.7ha site is lined with ingenious play equipment. Not only can you use your body to play to your heart's content, but the indoor facility also holds fun classes for all ages and for parents and children to participate in on a daily basis. We would like to introduce you to "Todagawa Children's Land", where not only children but also families can enjoy various activities.

What kind of place is Todagawa Children's Land?

The concept of Todagawa Children's Land is "to grow up strong and healthy in contact with nature" and "a space for children to discover and create their own play". Admission is free! Parking is also free except on major event days! You can play with your body to the fullest and experience various things using your hands.

There are five parking lots in Todagawa Ryokuchi, Todagawa Children's Land we recommend parking lot 2.

In the park, where you can play while feeling the nature while touching the greenery, water, and soil under the sun, there are playground equipment that you can enjoy for free, such as popular large wooden playground equipment and children's playground equipment. Two types of paid playground equipment are very reasonable at 50 to 100 yen. You can move your body a lot.

Many of the craft events held daily at the main building are free of charge, and the regularly held ``Parent-Child Cloisonne enamel ware Class'' where you can experience full-fledged production at a great value is also an attractive feature.

Move your body and play to your heart's content!

There are about 60 types of playground equipment in the park. First, let's start with the large wooden playground equipment, which is said to be the largest in the Tokai region.

"Large wooden playground equipment" where you can enjoy 30 kinds of play

The wooden deck is like a corridor that you can walk around. It is a very fun playground complex with climbing and descending features, but be careful that small children do not get lost!

There are many playground equipment with athletic elements such as Tarzan rope and rock climbing. Everyone was enjoying themselves.

There are three spaces in the upper part of the sandbox where wheelchairs can be placed.

Universal design is adopted for the overall structure of the wooden playground equipment, and 10 types of playground equipment, including this suspension bridge and sandbox, are wheelchair accessible.

"Toddler playground equipment" that children are also very satisfied

The plaza behind the main building is an area of playground equipment for small children to enjoy. In the "Bunker Sandbox," there is a "backhoe (excavator)" that can be operated with both hands. There is also a labyrinth (maze) and spring playground equipment.

My 5-year-old son was hooked on the "backhoe" (excavator). He played with it many times, and in the evening, he did not want to leave because he wanted to play with it.

Labyrinth (maze). Adults can look in from above, so it's safe to watch over children.

There are 6 types of spring playground equipment, so you can enjoy it while sharing.

There is a round jungle gym in the sandbox.

A cute log dinosaur that you can climb and play with. It's a rare playground equipment.

Near the children's playground, there is a Tarzan rope, as well as "Apple Rock Climbing", "Untei", "Seesaw", and "Low Iron Bar" for children.

The "Kororinyama" which is filled with earth is about 2 meters high.

There are benches with sunshades and shaded tables to take a break and watch the children.

The Toda River flows right next to it, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

"Playhouse" where you can play to your heart's content even in the rain

This white building with a pointed roof is the playhouse. You can play on a rope jungle gym that goes from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor.

Once the children enter, they climb up, down, lie down, and do not come out easily.

They are enthralled and go right back in when they come out. There are stairs and elevators so adults can come and go and watch over them.

There are two types of jungle gyms, and this one is a little smaller.

I wondered how they would play with such a unique piece of playground equipment, but the children were creative, playing hide-and-seek and dangling competitions.

The observation tower is connected to the playhouse. It is about 20 meters high! You can see the entire Todagawa Children's Land from the observation floor. On a clear day, you can see the TV tower, Higashiyama Sky Tower, and the Suzuka Mountains.
