Exquisite "Pyramid Curry" at Cafe & Restaurant "MW"

Since I was getting hungry, I decided to have the famous "Pyramid Curry" at the cafe and restaurant "MW" near the Hakusekikan.

You can have a weekly lunch and a cake set, including Pyramid Curry.
You can dine it without entering Hakusekikan.

The interior of the shop is typical of Hakusekikan, and the pillars, ceiling, tables, and chairs are all made of stone.

This is the classic "Pyramid Curry 900 yen (tax included)", a special curry made by slowly simmering in a large pot is served with pyramid-shaped rice.

We also recommend the healthy vegetable curry (950 JPY (incl. tax)) that uses seasonal vegetables.
*Vegetables change depending on the season

When you want to take a break or get hungry, please visit the cafe and restaurant MW.

Business days: Open every day in August
Business hours: 9:00-16:00 (last order 15:30)

Finally, at the "Museum Shop"
Let's buy exclusive goods!

Hakusekikan's souvenir shop offers a wide variety of products, including gems, minerals, and pyramid-related souvenirs from Egypt.

Especially recommended is "Stone Chocolate". The chocolate is made by the American company Fiesta and looks so much like a real pebble that you would never know it was chocolate just by looking at it!

It is also a nice point that only natural coloring agents are used. It is perfect as a souvenir.

Please stop by the museum shop on your way home.

There are still plenty of content!

In addition to what we have introduced this time, Hakusekikan has a lot more to offer. From here, we will introduce them all at once.

"Restaurant Bacchus"

This temple-style restaurant was built with 110-year-old stone pillars. It is available for wedding receptions, events, and group projects. (Open seasonally, reservations required)

"Stone Craftsman Experience Room"

Tools used by stone craftsmen in the past are on display.

"Kijuan"

A unique tea room built with stone and mirror glass. The mirror is designed to reflect a pyramid.

"Chapel"

It is a mountain lodge-style chapel with a calm atmosphere.
It is open as a rest space. There is a 100-year-old piano in the room.

It is amazing that it can actually be played. They can actually use it as a wedding chapel.

There are also stone instruments, so please try playing them too.

"Gekkuu Memorial Museum"

This is a memorial museum for Gekku Nakajima, an artist who drew postcard pictures while wandering around Japan. There is a space in the museum where visitors can enjoy drawing pictures on postcards.

「Rocks Garden Café」

Only on weekends, you can have pizza, loco moco, and pasta.

"Unchikukan"

From the history to the culture of toilets, there are items related to toilets on display. There is also a fossil of dinosaur poop that may bring you good luck if you touch it.

"Kesao Tamai and his friends memorial hall"

A memorial hall dedicated to Shinshu University professor emeritus Kesao Tamai, who advocated regional revitalization in rural areas, and his colleagues.

Hakusekikan is full of highlights just by walking! Please come and visit us.
