"Irago Cape Lighthouse" A Very Popular as a Sunset Spot

The white lighthouse "Irago Cape Lighthouse" stands at the tip of the Atsumi Peninsula, Cape Irago.

The contrast between the blue sea and the white lighthouse is beautiful, and you can see Kamishima, which was the setting for Yukio Mishima's novel "Shiosai". It is selected as one of the 50 best lighthouses in Japan. On sunny days, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Koijigahama, A Sacred Place for Lovers

​"Koijigahama" is a sandy beach that stretches for about 1km from Irago Cape Lighthouse to Hii no Sekimon facing the Pacific Ocean. It is also famous as the stage of Shimazaki Toson's lyric poem "Yasi no Mi", "A palm fruit flowing from a nameless distant island."

Together with the Irago Cape Lighthouse, it is also certified as a "Lover's Sanctuary".

"Zaoyama Observation Deck" with 360° view of Atsumi Peninsula

"Zaoyama Observation Deck" at the top of Mt. Zao. From the observation floor on the top floor, you can enjoy a 360° view of Atsumi Peninsula, including Mikawa Bay, Chita Peninsula, Irago Cape, and the Pacific Ocean. If the weather is good, you can even see Mt. Fuji!
