“AOU no MORI ~ CO-CREATION SPACE ~” is a private sauna facility located in Komono Town, Mie County, Mie Prefecture. Ventures and startup companies are paying attention to this hot spot as a place to spend time in a relaxed, extraordinary space, talk in the sauna, and learn together.

It's hard to convey the whole picture of AOU no MORI with just words, so I would like to introduce the charm of AOU no MORI along with the experience report.

How to access "AOU no MORI"

AOU no MORI is located in Komono Town, Mie County, Mie Prefecture. One of the attractions is that it is easily accessible from both the Tokai and Kansai areas.

About 1 hour by car from Nagoya. About 10 minutes by car from Shin-Meishin Expressway "Komono IC".

Instant house perfect for meetings

When you enter, you will see a white building that looks like a mushroom. The pointy head is cute!

This is the "Instant House" jointly developed by LIFULL and Nagoya Institute of Technology. As the name suggests, it is a living space that can be built anywhere in just one day. It seems that it also serves as a proof of instant house.

The material itself is a heat insulator, so it is very comfortable even in the cold season!

When you go inside, it's more spacious than you can imagine! It's a wonderfully relaxing space.

It can be used as a meeting place or as a resting place after sauna. A projector is also available for online meetings and presentations.

Two types of tent sauna that you can enjoy depending on the temperature and mood

There are two types of tent saunas at AOU no MORI.

This is a Russian tent sauna "MORZH". The temperature inside the tent rises to 100-120℃, so it's perfect for the cold season!

This is Finnish tent sauna "SAVOTTA". With a comfortable temperature of 60-80℃, it is also recommended for sauna beginners and women! You can enjoy the sauna slowly and carefully.

All you have to do is change clothes! Full range of sauna goods

The appeal of AOU no MORI is that all you have to do is bring a change of clothes, such as a bathing suit, and you can go empty-handed.

In addition to bath towels, face towels, shampoo and treatments, you can also rent sauna hats and sauna slippers. This wool sauna hat is handmade by the owner, Mr. Ao!

The towel is "Shirayuki Dish Towel", which is soft and easy to dry. The fluffy texture will gently wrap your body after taking a cold bath.

I could feel the passion of the owner, who loves saunas, even in the details of the amenities.

There is also a shower booth, so you don't have to worry.

Experience the Russian tent sauna "MORZH"!

This time, I tried the Russian tent sauna "MORZH".

When smoke comes out of the chimney, you're ready to go!

Change into a swimsuit and head to the tent sauna.

Speaking of the fun of the tent sauna, it is "Roryu". Aroma water is poured over the sauna stones to generate a large amount of steam.

The aroma water on this day was mugwort, mandarin orange, cypress, and ginger. The scent of aroma spreads throughout the sauna.

Wrapped in the scent of aroma, it seems that it will be on the ground soon.

Since it is self-roasting, it can be adjusted to your own comfortable space, from beginners to those who are used to it. (Don't worry if it's your first time, the staff will give you a lecture)

One of the charms of AOU no MORI is that you can enjoy various aromas. My personal favorite was “Hojicha”.

You can also enjoy herb rouryu! The scent of fresh herbs gradually spreads in the tent sauna.

You can't experience this kind of rōryū in a typical sauna facility or super sento.

Actually, this herb is grown at AOU no MORI! It is said that it uses the soil development technology of TOWING, a startup from Nagoya University.

A natural water bath flowing from the Suzuka Mountains

A cold bath is a must after a sauna.

Rather, it is no exaggeration to say that I am in the sauna for this moment.

AOU no MORI's water bath uses natural water flowing from the Suzuka Mountains. You can always enjoy fresh natural water. What a luxury!

The temperature is about 13 degrees Celsius. The natural water does not make your head squeaky, is smooth to the touch, and gently cools down your body. Strangely, my body felt warm.

Take a break in the infinity chair

Wipe your body firmly and go to the infinity chair. It is called "comfortable sitting on a cloud" or "a chair that ruins humans", and is very popular in the sauna world. As the name "Infinity" suggests, the feeling of relaxation that gently releases the power of the whole body is irresistible.

Looking up, you can see the blue sky and the babbling of a stream. I feel like I'm going to be more calm.

2 more sets from there. A total of 3 sets were repeated, and I was completely satisfied.

Relax with a drink after the sauna

For sauna drinks, from Luxembourg! We had the gluten-free energy drink "28BLACK" and the vinegar drink "Mizkan Fruity". You can really feel the commitment of the owner, Mr. Ao, even to the sauna drinks.

After experiencing AOU no MORI, the first thing I felt was that talking in the sauna naturally enriches communication.

I was able to see a different side of myself and come up with ideas that I would never have thought of in my daily life. It makes sense that Finland and Russia have “sauna diplomacy”.
