"GALLERY GECCA" in Gifu City. Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.

"GALLERY GECCA" is located in Wakatake-cho, Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. This gallery is open only for 10 days from the 20th to the end of each month.

It is run by Kyoko Tange, a dyeing and weaving artist, and Yukie Tange, a painter and clothing artist. Since its opening in 2013, it has mainly exhibited and sold works by artists from all over the country, such as ceramics, glass, leather, and accessories.

The gallery is located in Wakatake-cho, Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. It is located in a quiet residential area about 15 minutes by car from "Gifu Station".

Parking is available nearby! You can safely visit by car.

When you arrive at the gallery, you will find an array of exciting and attractive items at the storefront.

In the store, you can find works by Ms. Tange and her daughter, mainly items by the artist of the special exhibition. Tange's clothes are hand-woven by dyeing threads with plants such as onions, chestnuts, and roses.

The interior of the store, which is based on wood, is warm and has a very comfortable atmosphere.

During the business period, the "Mountain Cafe" is also open! You can enjoy tea while relaxing in the shop.

Of course, it is also possible to use only the cafe. It seems that people in the neighborhood can stop by.

Turning a former greengrocer's house into a gallery

Originally, Ms. Tange's parents' house used to be a greengrocer, but it was renovated into a gallery.

Since both of them are active as artists, the store opens for about 10 days from the 20th of each month. They have commissioned and organized exhibitions with artists with whom they have connections and with whom they have met in various places.

There are also permanent works for sale. One of the pleasures is that you can purchase works by your favorite artists on business days.

All of the artists are full of charm and tugged at their heartstrings.
