Fun park & mini amusement park where you can play all day! "Gifu Family Park"

The "Gifu Family Park" introduced here is a comprehensive park rich in nature, located just off the Gifu Miwa Smart IC of the Tokai Kanjo Expressway.

The vast ground is divided into two parts.  It includes the Children's Zone, a family-friendly amusement park with long roller slides and go-karts and the Sporek Zone, which has the Miwakuru Square with a large athletic complex,  a baseball field and tennis courts.

There is some distance between the two zones, so I recommend using the shuttle car. (Operates free of charge only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)

This time, I will report on the family amusement park "Children's Zone" (the top part on the map above).

Let's have fun at the retro and cute mini amusement park!

3 rides that the whole family can enjoy

The entrance to the children's zone is marked by a cute castle gate.

A short walk through the gate and you will see ......
the Children's Zone (Adventure Valley) !

The opening and closing times change depending on the season. Check it out when you visit!

In the Children's zone, rides such as go-karts, cycle monorails, supermobiles, and bobsleighs are available for 100 yen/ride for elementary school students and 200 yen/ride for junior high school students and older. (Free for infants)

It costs 100 yen per ticket. Please purchase from a ticket vending machine.

You can buy 11 sheets for 1,000 yen, so it's a good deal.

First, try riding a go-kart! (Drivers must be 4th grade or older)

Gifu Family Park's most popular ride, go-kart. With a driving distance of 350 meters, visitors can experience a newly renovated three-dimensional course with a new tunnel.

Even if your child is nervous about driving, don't worry as the staff at the park will carefully explain the operation.

You can also drive with two people. Let's go!

This feels good! I can see why it is so popular!

It was a course full of fun, with a series of twisting curves and downhill accelerating at full throttle! (I rode it 3 times after this)

Gifu Family Park's swan is a stylish man wearing a hat.

Next, here is a swan boat.
Swan boats, which you will be tempted to take when you find them. (20 minutes per ride).

Many of you might have memories of having been on board at least once.

As you navigate the boat freely while looking out over the water, you will feel a sense of calmness.

The swaying water surface sparkles in the sunlight. It is healing.

Everyone loves swan boats.
Explore the water in a relaxed atmosphere with your children.

Next is the cycle monorail!

It is a very cute round vehicle with retro atmosphere. You pedal it to move forward.

You can look over the children's zone from the sky and feel like you're swimming in the air.

What a glorious moment

On the third Sunday of every month, "Gifu Prefecture Family Day," children of junior high school age and under can use the playground equipment for free! We expect crowds on the day. Please be sure to take your turn and enjoy playing together.

In addition to the rides I introduced, there are many free playground equipment that small children can play with peace of mind.

Fuwa fuwa Dome, where you can enjoy a new sensation like riding on a cloud

Mini-slide. At first glance, it looks gentle, but don't be fooled. It is as fast as the roller slide and is a popular attraction in the Children's zone.

Rope playground equipment that resembles a spider's web. The distance from the ground is low, so even small children can enjoy it safely.

There are benches near the playground equipment. It is also a nice point that you can sit and watch your child playing.

The latest playground equipment at the Family Park!

The longest roller slide in Tokai region is a must-experience.

The latest playground equipment that was just completed in March last year, the long roller slide (free) is 180 meters long, making it the longest in the Tokai region!

The starting point is the top of the large athletic "Fort Jeronimo".

Aim for the top.

Top of Fort Jeronimo. The starting point of the long roller slide.

The roller slide will take you at a comfortable speed. It feels great to dash through the green with plenty of negative ions while enjoying the scenery.

The long roller slide is made up of a double structure.

The reason for dividing the slide into two sets is to prevent children from getting lost; one set is too long and parents may lose sight of their children during the run, so this design was adopted.

From the second starting point.

Gradually, I got used to the speed and made a firm piece. I don't want it to end!

It's been a long time since I've been on a slide, and I've completely returned to my childhood, and I've been playing innocently without worrying about my surroundings.

Please take a break at the food corner.

The second floor of the administration building, which has a ship motif, is open to the public free of charge as a food court.

The shop is open on weekends and holidays, and sells hot snacks such as fried chicken, yakisoba, and large takoyaki. In addition, various kitchen cars are opened irregularly. (For details, please check the latest information on the website.)

Since visitors are allowed to bring their own food and beverages into the park, we saw many families enjoying their lunch boxes on the lawn and benches. It is delicious to eat lunch together under the warm sun, isn't it?

Furthermore, it is OK to set up a tent on the lawn! You can also set up a tent and spend a relaxing day.

Top of the mountain, do you walk?
Or ride?

There is an observatory at the summit of Mt. Toyama in the Children's Zone. If you use a ladybug-shaped supermobile (paid), you can reach the summit in about 5 minutes. A promenade is also maintained, so it is also recommended to climb while taking a walk.

Since it's a big deal, I'm going to go to the top of the mountain using a supermobile this time!

Retro and cute ladybug-shaped mobile. You will have to wait until you get on the car to see what color you can ride.

We have arrived at the summit! !

From the observatory. On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the tranquil nature that stretches out as far as the eye can see.

There are two ways to return other than walking down the boardwalk: the supermobile used on the way there, or bobsledding. (Paying a fee)

I tried bobsled.

Pushing the bar increases speed. Pulling it toward you slows you down by applying the brake.

It is a very fun and thrilling ride where you control your speed and go through the mountain roads at high speed. There are several sharp turns, and you will almost go off course several times. ...... Be careful not to go too fast.

This time, we introduced the rides and playground equipment that you can enjoy in the Children's zone.

In the park, there are plenty of services that make parents happy, such as free stroller rentals and a nursing room.

In the Sports Zone, which I couldn't introduce this time, there is "Miwakuru Square", a nature learning experience facility where you can enjoy about 11 types of large athletic playground equipment.

Miwakulu Square is planned to allow children to experience "unique play" under the motto "De la fun!" (very fun)

The name means "fascinating and miraculous playground equipment, coming to Miwa, everyone will come (kuru)" and was chosen from among a total of 612 entries! It is a very nice name that is full of thought.

Play a lot on the athletic fields or soak up the sun on the lawn. ......Take your family to Gifu Family Park, a comprehensive park surrounded by lots of greenery, for the weekend.
