Full report on how to enjoy the Monkey Park
The park is divided into five areas.
Wandamura Quest
Around the Event Hall
Montpati
Pleasure land
Monpara
The first stop is Wandamura Quest, a new area that just opened in 2020!
New attraction opened in March 2020
"Wandamura Quest"
A new attraction that opened in March 2020, a real RPG "Wandamura Quest".
Visitors can enjoy three attractions: "Minna de Job Suru", a rally-type attraction where visitors help with village jobs; "Mamono Hunt", an AR attraction where visitors can exterminate demons that misbehave outside the village; and "Yusha no Toride (fortified athletic facility)", a legendary fort said to have been built by a brave warrior.
Let's challenge "Job Suru" together!
This time, we tried "Minnade Job Suru".
After getting the card, it's time to "go to Wandamura". It is as if you have wandered into an RPG world!
You can help out with three of the five jobs, such as defeating naughty moles, hauling rocks out of the mine, or collecting alpacas, as indicated on the card.
If you clear the job, you will be granted "Nyanda Coin".
Collect "Nyanda Coins" and challenge "Treasure Chest Luck" at the end!
If you win, you can get "Wandamura Original Goods". Many children come back again and again to get the original goods.
Please try the “Mamono Hunt” as well!

Next, go to the area around the event hall.
Events are held for a limited time in the event hall area. Events vary depending on the season, so be sure to check the official website!
Chibikko Paradise has a full lineup of "small rides" that visitors can play with by inserting coins!
There were also some retro items that made my heart dance with nostalgia.
The Ferris wheel is the landmark! "Monpati Area"
Next, go to the "Monpati Area" in the center of the park.
The Giant Ferris Wheel, Double Deck Merry, Mompa's Circus Pilot, and other popular attractions for families to enjoy are all here.
The "Giant Ferris Wheel" is 55 meters high and offers a panoramic view of Inuyama.
From the 55-meter-high "Giant Ferris Wheel," you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains around the Kiso River. On a clear day, you can see three castles: Inuyama Castle, Komaki Castle, and Gifu Castle! (about 12 minutes per lap)
Two-story merry-go-round "Double Deck Merry"
Double Deck Merry," a two-story merry-go-round, is rare in the Tokai area. The fairy-tale world view is just perfect.
Children from 3 years old can ride horses, and children under 3 can ride in horse-drawn carriages.
Enjoy the airship feeling! "Monpa no Ukiuki Hikosen"
“Monpa no Ukiuki Hikosen” is a ride attraction where an airship-shaped vehicle turns gracefully. It rises to a height of 10m, so it's exhilarating!
More than we imagined, it was very comfortable to feel the wind.
Recommended for children in elementary school and above!
"Pleasure Land Area"
Next, go to the "Pleasure Land Area" at the back of the park!
There is a full lineup of exciting attractions for adults and children alike, including the "Highway Coaster," "Monkey Coaster," and "Canyon Splash."
"Highway Coaster" where you can enjoy the most thrilling in Monkey Park
The roller coaster "Highway Coaster" that runs through the mountains is thrilling!
*Admission is available for elementary school students and older, 120cm or taller.
*Not available for persons 65 years of age and older.
A thrilling roller coaster ride. We were exhausted by the end of the roller coaster after a long time. We think it is a great attraction for children!
Enjoy driving freely! "Gocart"
Go-karts are very popular among elementary school children. There are no rails, so you can move freely. You can enjoy the feeling of running like you are driving a real car!
The course is a moderate distance and can be enjoyed in earnest. It is refreshing to run through the course with the wind in your face.
There is also a spot near the goal where you can take pictures!
"Dream Cycle" for a leisurely walk in the air
Next, we went to the "Dream Cycle" where you can enjoy a walk in the air. This is an attraction where visitors pedal a wheel to go on a monorail.
Even two people can ride, so please try to reach the goal in unison!
Recommended for small children!
"Monpara Area"
Next, let's go to the "Monpara area" recommended for small children! It is located across the bridge from the Montpati area.
Get on the train and go meet the animals! "Zoo Zoo Train"
The "ZooZoo Train" was very popular with small children.
The train also had some fun tricks. You will enjoy it when you ride it!
"GO! GO! Banana Coaster" where you can experience a roller coaster from 3 years old
The GO!GO! Banana Coaster, designed with monkeys and bananas, is recommended for first-time roller coasters.
There is almost no slope, so you can rest assured even if you are trying a roller coaster for the first time.
Don't worry even on rainy days! "Monkids Jungle"
"Monkids Jungle" is a fusion of ball play and athletic elements. It's indoors, so you can rest assured even on rainy days or hot summer days.
There is also an area where you can keep an eye on your children.
Inspiration Athletic "Da Vinci Pinch"
The last thing we would like to introduce is the Inspiration Athletic "Da Vinci Pinch".
This is an educational attraction where you can enjoy colorful and unique athletics.
There is no doubt that you will be thrilled by the colorful world like a picture book! It is an attraction that can be enjoyed from small children to elementary school students.
"Tower of the young sun" overlooking the city of Inuyama
Monkey Park also houses the "Young Tower of the Sun" created by world master Taro Okamoto in 1969, one year before the Osaka Expo. It was completely restored in October 2011.
The slope is steeper than expected! !
If you also want to see the Tower of the Young Sun, wear comfortable shoes.
After about 5 minutes, we reached the top!
26 meters high. When you see it up close, it is more powerful than you can imagine.
From the observatory at a height of 7 meters, you can see nature such as the Nobi Plain and the Kiso River.
Recommended gourmet in Monpa
Miharashi Cafe
There are 7 restaurants and cafes in Monkey Park.
This time we went to "Miharashi Cafe" where you can enjoy light meals. "Ebifurya Dog" has a great presence with large fried shrimp. It was freshly fried and crispy.
You can also try the mysterious ice cream "Dippin' Dots Ice" at -40℃.
Bear's castella (castella shop)
Bite-sized sponge cake in the shape of cute bears are the perfect snack!
It seems that they may sell out on weekends, so please get them as soon as possible.
Summer only! Water paradise "Monpuru"
Located in the Nihon Monkey Park and open only during the summer season, the "Water Paradise Momple" features a 190-meter-long, 90-cm-deep flowing pool and a giant fountain called the "Fukidaaas" that shoots up to a height of 20 meters.
The "Water Jungle" is a pool version of a jungle gym where one ton of water falls from a height of 8 meters. In addition, there is a 15-meter-high slider with a total length of 80 m. Each course is different, doubling the fun of the slider!
At the End of the Day, Let's Look for Souvenirs!
Finally, we went shopping at the store!
There are shops in each area, but the largest souvenir shop in the park, "South Shop", near the South Gate is especially recommended. In addition to Monkey Park's original goods, they also sell Inuyama specialties.
This time, we introduced the whole monkey park.
It is also a good point that the area is large enough to tour around in a relaxed manner. There are also a variety of attractions for small children to enjoy, so the whole family is welcome to visit!
